Just perusing the David Robinson website and come across this watch...
https://www.omegawatches.com/watches/seamaster/div...
Phoned up and the retail is £3720... less than I thought it would be :-)
It's a handsome looking watch in my opinion. Whats everyones thoughts on this... think it will hold its value being limited to 7000 units?
Cheers

Thats vile.
I've got to agree with the bud. Also, I'd have thought that most grown ups would be embarrassed by the 007 detail which has to limit the market, make it less collectable and mean it won't hold its value? But I don't know anything about collectable watches so don't not buy it on my say so!
Not for me, I'm afraid - the '007' on the seconds hand being the biggest, but not only, obstacle to my affection.
However, if you like it, that's all that matters. And regardless of personal aesthetic tastes, it'll be a solid, good quality watch.
7007 pieces is not really that limited a run at all, to my mind. Omega can't seem to help themselves in continually releasing 'special editions' and new model variants every 10 minutes, so this is nothing particularly noteworthy.
Also, most Omega models (like a lot of other brands, to be fair) struggle with resale value. If you do purchase it, make sure you push for a solid discount off RRP.

Wow! That's pissed on my bonfire ! :-)
Looking at the last "limited" edition Spectre watch, they're holding about £3000 on Watchfinder, so not sure if that's anything to go by?
I kind of like it though - I think it looks fresh, and much more distinct than many of the other Seamaster range...
Cheers for the advice

Looks like a 007 watch from an argos catalogue, with an omega logo.
All it needs to do is play the bond theme (like my Zeon used to do back in 1989) and you are sorted.
Completely different watch, far more classy and subtle, and possibly something that a real bond could probably wear (gadgets aside) in real life, and actually does in the movie.
EDIT - the seamaster 300 at £3950 on walletfinder is not the spectre edition, it is the regular variant.
The spectre edition is listed as POA on their site, and the cheapest one I can find anywhere is around $6500 from Germany. Average is well above that. If you find one for £3000 bite their hand off.
This? Not so much.
If nothing else, ditch the 007 branding on the hand and it would be massively improved. They have done the same before on other limited 007 variants (full list here: https://www.salonqp.com/updates/watch-culture/omeg... ) but this stands out like an altar boy with an erection due to the white dial.
Buy for you, not the opinions of others.

Seamaster Rio owner here,
Bought because I like the different coloured numbers on the bezel....... Other's think it's terrible against a std Seamaster ... I disagree.
If your buying to wear ... buy because you like/want it
If your buying for an investment ... Seek a new financial advisor
If you could ignore / exchange the second hand I quite like it

The seamaster spectre watch is expensive and well over list and is a lovely watch, this new one not so much to my eyes but, heh buy what you want not what others like. I pretty much love everything Bond and Omega and even I can't stand that! As a Bond homage watch a Brosnan era Seamaster, Craig's Bond Planet Ocean or latest Spectre style Seamaster 300 would all be a better bet IMHO. A Rolex Sub (or Tudor Black Bay Black for the vintage look) would also be preferable to the Commander.
My thoughts:
hmm not my colour scheme.
OMG that seconds hand
It might feel like a 3k watch but certainly doesn't look like it.
In the end, we're on the internet spouting our opinions, but there's a good chance that omega finds 7007 customers for this and if you want to be one of them, then why not?
