Lately I’ve been thinking of adding an entry level Richard Mille to my growing watch collection which includes 3 gold Day-Dates, 1 Date-Just and a Breitling Navitimer.

Does anyone own a Richard Mille? What are they like for daily wear? I’ve only tried on one in Dubai last year and fell in love. I know they aren’t to everyone’s taste, but the more I see one, the more I love them.

Would love to own one, especially one of the mor garish variants. Don't know a huge amount about the "entry models" what sort of price are we talking ?

I don’t get them, Surely there are less garish and more tasteful ways to showcasef your conspicuous wealth?

I’d love to own one of the higher end versions but I don’t see myself affording one yet haha ideally the RM057 is the dream.

Well a quick search has turned up some nice ones at around the £40k-£60k mark.

Isn't that why the gold day-date exists?

OP, they are indeed not to everyone's taste, but if you like them, why not?

I had a titanium RM005 for about 5 years - sold it last year for a decent profit which is very unusual for me!

The look better in the flesh than they do in the pics I think - not sure what the entry level is now but the last time I looked the entry level was around 50k. I prefer the basic ones to some of the more garish editions.

The price of things like straps and deployant buckles etc is a serious joke.

Have you seen the price tag for the RM 011 Titanium bracelet?

I've only just wondered what these things are going to look like in 20yrs, 20yrs isn't that long!

Are they they kind of thing that at £50-£90k you might want to pass down?

I can imagine some people thinking - oh st, I got the watch, is it rude to try and sell it, but it's a Nadal version....

Customer Service leads a lot to be desired according to Tom:

Have a chum who owns one. Not my cup of tea, look tacky IMHO and given most are 'skeleton' design I'd have real trouble telling the time when pissed

A gold Rolex isn’t exactly subtle either. Any gold jewellery generally looks crap on white guys, We are simply not genetically endowed to pull gold off.
