This afternoon a none blood almost relative was pushing his new youngest to the supermarket, mini roundabout close by, car comes flying up to the roundabout and begins doughnuts, driver looses control and heads towards dad and pram, he shoves the pram and himself dives out of the way, the car crashes next to him and 2 occupants run away.
Now dad is what you call very powerfully built though not a company director, he kindly allowed the still in the car driver to face and headbut his clenched hand repeatedly only stopping when baby cried, poor lads knuckles were a mess.
He pushed baby home, he is very shaken and grey in the face, baby is still smiling and couldn't give a monkey's, she has no idea how close it was to disaster

I don't understand the bit about the driver headbutting his clenched hand - was this like he was hitting himself on the forehead for being stupid?

Hopefully the Child is too young to remember his Dad making a fool of himself.

If you need to ask the question, you won't understand the answer.

Ah, now it's clearer. Well, I suppose writing "my friend punched the driver in the face until my friend's knuckles bled" would make it sound less like a fun bit of banter, and more like the rather nasty assault that it seems it actually was, possibly elevating any injury the driver might have sustained from minor into life-changing or worse.

Funny that this story had a pretty clear villain to start with, and then by the end I'm just a bit depressed about everybody in the piece - well, except for baby - and in fact if anything actually feeling for the chopper behind the wheel.

As a note: how should Mr Angry feel about his friends posting about this stuff on social media? Driver's friends might feel that their friend was hard done by. The police might be wondering just how the driver's face got like that after that minor-looking bump. They might reasonably wonder who is behind this! And he does sound like a short-tempered chap.

Lets just pretend for a minutes i don't believe that this is completely made up by the OP.

How can you honestly believe a story about why someone decided to assault a stranger, told by the person who did the assault ?

Maybe they were doing donuts on a mini roundabout in the middle of a busy Friday afternoon, or maybe they just had an accident
Maybe they were fleeing the scene, or maybe they were just running away from a nutjob trying to beat them up.
Maybe there was a baby in a param, or maybe there was just a knuckle dragger who likes to get into fights.
Maybe there was a crash, or maybe that bit was made up, or maybe the whole story was made up by a knuckle dragger who punched a wall because lidl was out of cheap booze.
