It's a 40mm case, so not particularly big and it wears fine. There's just something about how I take wrist shots that always makes them look much bigger than they do in the metal.

Been thinking about a Longines Heritage Conquest for a while now and as I was out and about saw one in Lakeside (which has really changed since I was last there).

Bit worried that 35mm might be a bit small, but tried it on and found it really looks nice. Got a discount which brought it to the best online price I've seen it at too. smile

Tried taking a picture, but it came out rubbish hehe so here's a better one, obviously not mine.

It's very flexible, and very comfortable - I have three of them, and rate them highly. As I do the seller, WatchGecko.
Thanks for the feedback, I have had their site bookmarked for a while.

I bought a cheap Milanese for a Tissot Visodate and was disappointed that it's very rigid.

Yesterday I went out and bought this:

Overall, i think it's absolutely terrific and i'm really taken with it. I got it for £335 and looking at it i think that's a bargain. It looks like it should be much more expensive.

Doubt it. Andy takes great photos of his watches.

Sorry for the slow response, but thanks chaps.

The photo is actually taken on my garden wall.

Fair to say I like my watches with a Chronograph.
I'll play … Chrono-fest
Only one non-chrono in the collection [a '73 Benrus Type 1] - some of them here:

Ooh. Check out the Mission Timers. Nice.

Cheers - fortunately they are getting a bit pricey so I've stopped for now at 3...

I bought this earlier in the year while on holiday in Lanzarote. I’d seen a really nice black and yellow Swatch that I fancied, then I spotted this and quickly forgot about the Swatch.

Taking a break from my Dan Henry 1970 and going for a Suunto Core All Black, which I picked up from TZ for just over a hundred quid (RRP is about £250, although there are loads of internet deals to be had). It’s like new and I’m still learning all the functions. There are threee main modes - Time, Altimeter/Barometer and Compass, each with a few more “sub modes”. It looks bigger than it is, although I have dropped about 30 odd kilos since my accident last year. It weighs practically nothing.

I love that, but it’s ruined for me by the font of the “Moana Pacific”. As daft as it sounds, it’s enough to put me off completely.

I’m the same with a lot of the Timefactors/TZ “Precista” watches. Love the watches themselves, but hate the “Precista” font, which is a similar “copperplate” style.

Good holiday watch, I'm hoping to beat my best altimeter reading with it next year. Mine does need a new strap though.

The wording is what makes it for me smile

I like that, is it a ‘classic’ Monza?

No - it was made in the early/mid eighties when Heuer was owned by Nouvelle Lemania so it uses the Lemania 5100 movement rather than a 'Cal.xx' one.

It doesn't have a name as such, but is part of the '1000' range - this model is the 510.501; there was a stainless steel version too - the 510.500.

The whole (convoluted) history of that period incl. this model is here - https://www.calibre11.com/heuer-lemania-part-one/

I am resisting that watch. I really like it.... There's another owner on here somewhere.

I'm going to be shouted down but always think that model would be stunning and connect back into the lineage with a snowflake hours hand...

Consider yourself shouted down.

Nope. No way.

That watch has a functional elegance about it that a snowflake would ruin. IMO. smile
