+1, a nice leather Nato strap is always a winner. I have this aftermarket strap coming:

for this Hanowa:

I’m guessing this will end up as a dodgy photo but I hadn’t worn this for a while and can’t imagine I’ll be taking it off anytime soon now!

I've put my Diver on a brown leather NATO, I quite like it.

Love these - am supposed to be picking one up next week (the watch, not the strap...) - excited!!
Bloody lovely, just apart from the power reserve gauge-sorry!

Thank you LOH, I would have agreed previously but now I don't even really see it anymore. Maybe one day it would be nice to get a custom dial made without the power reserve, if I can find someone to make it to that standard.

Diver watches do look good on brown leather. Though not strictly correct. Apologies for posting this before:

Nice seeing two of these green steinharts on the same page with different straps/bracelets for comparison.

Not a street brass, more high end escort...

Nice looking watch and the strap is the right colour, but a smooth finish would look better to my eye.

The clothing is also consistent with your theory.
