If you look in the classified section on here you will see a couple for sale wink

I think they are excellent watches for their price. The ETA movement inside is robust and I timed mine to +/-10 second per day and this was consistent in all positions.

The lume is good and the winding and setting on the crown was butter smooth, as were the threads on the screw in crown.

The bezel is solid. Not as easy to grip as a Rolex or Omega but it 'clicks' solidly into place and is plumb in alignment. There is a tiny bit of play but nothing that make the alignment look off to me.

I like the colour matched date window and the fact that it has drilled lugs so strap changing would be easy. The rubber strap is quality but you may find it a bit thick (it smells realy nice though, like vanilla!).

There are many reviews on the web and all seem to come to the same conclusion. It is not trying to be a Rolex copy, it has its own identity and is a quality item if you don't want COSC accuracy.

Nice watches but I don't think I'd be paying £450 for something I could buy new for £525! (or possibly less after haggling).

When Glycine was still Glycine, you could buy a new CS for £350 if you were canny. I bought a nice black and red CS for next to nothing recently as the old ranges were being cleared.

I suspect that the new Glycine is markedly inferior, so beware.

You suspect , or you know ?

They look great in the flesh and at 500 bucks or so are great value.

I haven't seen the adverts myself, but Glycine watches depreciate massively. I bought a Lagunare Chrono second hand for £600 in 'as new' condition. RRP was just over £2000! However I doubt I'll ever part with it; a proper tool watch with double sapphire crystals, screw down pushers and a surprisingly well decorated Valjoux 7750 (perlage, Côtes de Genève etc.) ... Bargain.

Glycine produce some fantastic pieces - I'd highly recommend one! smile

That was based on previous posts about Combat Subs being in the classifieds. 2 at £450, I Googled a new one at £525!

Sorry - My post probably read incorrectly - I was agreeing with you! smile My Glycine retailed for £2000 and I bought it second hand in 'as new' condition for £600! As such, a second hand Glycine that retails for £525 is probably worth around the £300 mark, depending on condition. That said, I wouldn't sell mine, and if I did, I'd probably want double what I paid ... tongue out

Not many of them around and a 'fairly' desirable Glycine model;
