Apologies for spamming the thread, but my new straps arrived woo!

Dark brown matt leather tones it down a lot compared to the tan suade strap it came with.

The lizard skin gives it a 1950s look. I like both options, but I'm leaning towards this one. It doesn't photograph well, but the individual scales subtly reflect the light at different angles and it doesn't look quite so bold and stripey with the naked eye. I was just reading about the whole cruelty aspect of harvested reptile skin, so I'm not sure if I would buy another.

Not spamming at all, it's nice to see people trying different straps for different looks, i have four straps now for my Citizen divers watch, the original Stainless and blue silicone ones which came with it and a blue leather and brown leather which i bought for it, each strap changes the whole look of the watch, i'll be honest and say that the lizard does nothing for me but that matt brown makes it look very elegant, a true dress watch!!!

May be of interest. Have just grabbed my first Orient for the grand sum of £88!
God dammit that only lasted a day. An SKX for 130 would have been great.

Thanks to the original poster of that TW steel watch. I have just pocketed one myself, with the black face and yellow dials, incredible bargain IMHO.

Tempted as I was by the Orient small seconds further up, the arse ache of buying from overseas pushed me back in the direction of something I've been hankering over for a while - the Bulova Aerojet.

I really liked this version with brown strap and cream dial but it appears to be discontinued with most places showing as out of stock or discontinued. Managed to find it in stock at Beaverbrooks, though, and a quick Google unearthed a £20 voucher code which brought the price down to £139. Arrived within 2 days and I love the classy looks and how t's slim profile makes it so unobtrusive on the wrist. I was also tempted by the black strap version with silver case and gold numerals which is currently on sale as H Samuel for a bargain £99:

Photographing watches is trickier than it looks, isn't it? hehe

That Aerojet is a very nice dress watch, I've always been a fan of the Bulova brand and have an Adventurer in black and rose gold, that H Samuels offer is very tempting too!!!!

P'ah...I raise you a LORUS, well my late grandads, I photographed the other day.

Of all the watches I have acquired over the years, the simplicity of this is great (probably sentimentality also plays a part), and quite like the font used on the dial...anyway its way under £200! biggrin

I bought mine from US. Was just over £100 but got charged on entry - can't remember how much, but wasn't much.
