Creation Watches?
Discussion
Recently got a G shock from them, if you use the DHL method you will get stung for duty (I have twice) but Royal Mail for some reason does not. Given that DHL are an absolute shower of c*nts I'd choose RM from now on. I'm actually gonig to order another SKX from them in April so will report how I get on.
There's no DUTY on watches, but you will pay 20% VAT and a handling charge (usually about £15, depending on who is 'handling' delivery).
You may get lucky, but if you're buying from Creation (or anywhere else far away), I think it makes a lot of sense to look at the price including VAT and handling, as you may find it as cheap (or cheaper) closer to home, with all the advantages that easy access to the supplier provides if anything is wrong on delivery.
Don't Creation have a 'creative' () arrangement with delivery from Ireland? Meaning no VAT charges?

Yes, look for the 'No Box' delivery option which comes from within the EU & hence doesn't attract VAT.Creation are ok as long as there are no issues with the watch. If it's faulty then getting it sorted out can be difficult.

I've had one watch from them, an SKX007, which was faulty on delivery (duff movement). Delivery was super quick however and I got it repaired FOC from Seiko UK pretty painlessly.Creation are ok as long as there are no issues with the watch. Order using delivery option "Royal mail (Without Watch Box, No Import Taxes, 4-5 days)" NOT the tempting as it is free DHL option.
Cost a little bit more (£6-7) on the order but in my and others experience won't get hit with fees. DHL always hit you with a bill lately before delivery.

The way I look at it is if I'm going to spend the extra to get the J then why 'scrimp' on the box etc that (arguably) make the watch more valuable or at least more desirable to a potential buyer if and when I come to sell the watch on. It's also just nice to have the genuine Seiko supporting items for the watch IMO.
If I decide to get a K I probably won't go for the box as its perceived value could be construed as less.
