I've never been a watch wearer but after inheriting my late fathers Rolex 36mm Oyster Perpetual Datejust the other month I have been wearing it everyday.

I decided I fancy another decent watch to go along with the Rolex (I have a few cheap watches like TW Steel etc) and was quite taken by either a Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra (James Bond Spectre edition) that I had seen 2nd hand or a Rolex Pepsi GMT (out of my price range).

While browsing the Rolex forum I came across the Tudor BB GMT Pepsi that is due for release in June 2018 and decided I want it, Have just come off the phone to Goldsmiths who said the store I called had 15 people on the list already for it but my name is on the list.

I'm 30 at the end of the year so decided should treat myself, I know this watch isn't that expensive compared to others but its 10x the price of my previous most expensive watch I have bought (TW Steel Cupra watch). I will try add an Omega to my collection before I'm 40 which gives me just under 11 years haha.

Anybody else on the list for one of these?

I would definitely be buying one if I didn't have a black bay black already. Absolutely love this Tudor GMT pepsi. Absolutely stunning in my opinion, many feel that it's a bit cluttered with the snowflake hands, but I think its a nice way to set it aside from its Rolex big brother

I'm new to watches but when I saw the GMT Master's I was like I need one of them, then this came along at £2700 new... Bargain in my opinion.

How many people buy a GMT and not use the GMT hand?

I’m on the list, expecting the first watches to arrive August time apparently. Even if I don’t get one of the first watches I’m sure it’ll be at least 2 years ahead of the Rolex GMT BLRO!

Same for me. I've gone on the list for the new Rolex Pepsi instead but who knows when that might arrive!

Hmm so its 'Lists' for Tudor now, funny seems to be a 'Rolex' thing!

Nice watch, but i wont be going on a list for one. They wont be that rare in a few months, unless Rolex start to play games with supply like they do most of their steel sports.

This 'lists' thing is something that (for me personally) spoils the brand, i know some differ and say it enhances desirability, but not for me it doesn't.

Out of interest what did they pitch a lead time at?

Still a nice watch, and a nice gift to yourself for your birthday, happy 30th by the way!

All it does is drive second hand prices through the roof, often in excess of the rrp, because all the people that want one have to go secondhand due to lack of availability.

This then paves the way for the manufacturer to increase the price without uproar.

Look at the second hand prices of a Submariner at the moment. They're way above RRP.

It's a totally outdated tool for the job now anyway.

popped into watches of Switzerland in London yesterday asked on the off chance they might have a display one, of course they didn't. But they told me their order books are closed for it.

It's great as setting a reminder when you parked the car smile

Are you just on the list or did you deposit? I called Goldsmiths and they took a name/number/email and that was it.

Was expecting to be asked for a deposit.
