When you do pull the trigger can we get a wrist shot in front of a tikes steering wheel?
There is absolutely nothing more utterly vomit inducing than a watch photographed in front of a steering wheel.
It is truly the preserve of utter bellends who are desperate to make a big deal out of what little they have, and then post it on Instagram.

Job done. 12,000 likes.
Whilst I agree with many other posters recommending the g-shocks, they are the watches of many of our childhoods and are good quality and durable. Personally I had a Casio HD which I still have to this day, and an older style square casio which I lost.
If you insist he needs a 'proper' watch, why not a Seiko SKX013. Automatic, durable, smaller sized and with a finish and reputation which punches above it's price tag. Save the additional £1.8k for something nice for his 18th birthday. (or 16, or 21, whatever is tradition in your family)

Nothing wrong with buying your lad a decent watch. Investment watches would be a great start but if you're looking for a daily then G-Shock, or other robust Casio will do.
Or, if you want Uber cool then look at the old Tudor minisub with the small case. You'll pay more than your budget, but they're history on your wrist

Given that Zygalski junior will,in all probability, swap any watch you give him for useless tat within weeks the correct answer here is to teach him a life lesson.
I suspect that many of his peers at boarding school wear average midrange (£10K to £30K) watches. You should send him a parcel of slime, fidget spinners and some strict instructions. He must swap the toys for watches, and by the end of term have acquired the holy trinity.
This will teach him the value of bartering, entrepreneurial endeavour and of course how to take ruthless advantage of his friends.

or maybe create some kind of Indiana Jones-inspired obstacle course in the grounds of your house?
I’m thinking snakes, scorpions, honey badgers, zip slides, and a mini-volcano that he needs to tackle in order to get the F91 ?
Son, if you can disconnect the F91W from this IED before it goes off, the watch is yours.I’m thinking snakes, scorpions, honey badgers, zip slides, and a mini-volcano that he needs to tackle in order to get the F91 ?
I don't see that this is such a bad idea - after all, plenty of parents seem only too happy to drop 2/3rds of this amount on the latest iPhone for their little cherubs, which will be pretty much worthless in a couple of years time.
Yes, definitely invest in a classic timepiece for your seven year old instead.

Either I’m due a whoosh parrot or this is actually a serious response. Using the expression “history on your wrist” ...Or, if you want Uber cool then look at the old Tudor minisub with the small case. You'll pay more than your budget, but they're history on your wrist

I'm not normally one to keep up with the Jones's, but I was feeling a little out of place when I went to the primary school and most of the kids were on their new iphones.
Sorry for posting this thread on PH. Honestly I'm not trying to show I've made it, or be boastful in any way. I just need help in making a decision and had nowhere else to turn.
Something discreet for around £2k that will definitely be noticed, but not be a target for thieves would be ideal.
Also, anyone recommend a good insurer, just in case?
You won’t get anything good at that price. I’d suggest getting him the new ceramic Daytona instead. It looks nice, I said not too big, and the ceramic will take a few knocks.Sorry for posting this thread on PH. Honestly I'm not trying to show I've made it, or be boastful in any way. There is a waiting list that seems to be many years long no way but you can get one second hand for about £15,000.
Best get two actually, in case he loses one.

I was going to suggest the 'everose' Yachtmaster, rubber strap is less likely to be damaged from school desks etc. There is a waiting list that seems to be many years long no way but you can get one second hand for about £15,000.
