Watch on strap with blue dial
Discussion
I saw one of these in my local jewellers the other day and was smitten.
Quite a few interesting features:
Its a count down bezel as opposed to elapsed time and is bi-directional.
Case is titanium.
Uses a highly modified ETA 2893 movement (hand wound).
Uses a unique strap system too. There are a few reviews on the internet.
In the flesh it looks stunning.

It's IWC's 150th anniversary this year, and they're offering a range of watches with a lacquered blue dial. This is the Tribute to Pallweber in steel. It's got a mechanical digital display.
There's also a Big Pilot's watches with a big date or annual calendar complications, a Portofino, and a Da Vinci.

FP Journe Chronomètre Bleu. I'm surprised that no-one has suggested this yet, as it's even got blue in its name.
Angelus U50 Diver Tourbillon. OK, it's only got a partial dial...
Fiona Kruger Petit Skull Blue.
A Lange & Söhne Saxonia Thin Copper Blue.
There must be something in the water, because Glashütte Original offers some stunning blue dials. This is the Sixties, though the current model looks a bit different.
Cartier Ballon Bleu Flying Tourbillon, for when you truly have to blow the budget...

Current favourites are the Parmigiani in my first post or a Datejust of some sort, though I don’t think they are available on a strap. I don’t want the cost of the weight of a Day Date, though they do look good.

It's really easy to buy a quality strap and put it on a Datejust.Current favourites are the Parmigiani in my first post or a Datejust of some sort, though I don’t think they are available on a strap. I don’t want the cost of the weight of a Day Date, though they do look good.
