wear it on my right because i don’t like wearing watches on my left. but the buttons point is also true, i have one of those U Boats from when i was a kid and the winder wpuld dig into your wrist.
the cost? free thankfully. i got it about 2/3 years ago. it broke, got it serviced (£800) then it broke again twice since then so in the end they just replaced the movement. i’ll dig out the receipt but the cost is prob £8/10k
Of course you do know the Right wrist is the "right" (correct) wrist, the cost? free thankfully. i got it about 2/3 years ago. it broke, got it serviced (£800) then it broke again twice since then so in the end they just replaced the movement. i’ll dig out the receipt but the cost is prob £8/10k
Think I'd have be having a completely different type of movement should that £8/10k bill of actually been requested

Intrigued by these. Might have to get one to satisfy my curiosity.
Brief review. It's 40mm but 'wears' a bit smaller, as the strap is 18mm at the lugs.
It's a nice looker on a leather strap (IMO).
The movement is running 35 secs / 24 hrs fast.
It has Russian writing on the face and caseback which makes it effortlessly cool.
The crown is really wobbly when unscrewed which doesn't inspire confidence, but is works fine.
The acrylic lens is perfectly good. The nickel-coated brass bezel is a bit weird but looks OK.
For €50 shipped it is the Bargain of the Millenium (IMO).

Snap! That one new to you, Andy?I rarely post a 'photo of mine though it's easily my most worn watch. It lives in a locker at work (no chance I'm leaving anything too valuable in there) and it's either this or its GW-5000 brother when bumbling around the house.

Back from another warranty repair.
I was away for a week while it was being repaired and wore my Explorer 24/7. This feels like a bit of a lump now, in comparison.
I hope you're not falling out of love with it.... It's a great watch, but a shame you've had some issues with it.I was away for a week while it was being repaired and wore my Explorer 24/7. This feels like a bit of a lump now, in comparison.
I think it looks terrific.

Just a bit disillusioned with reliability - I've had it back a couple of days I've noticed it's now running slow. It's always run a little fast which I much prefer - I'd rather be early for an appointment than late. I think they've regulated it while it was back. From +4 secs/day to -3.
