Wrist Check - 2019
Discussion
Sorry for derailing the thread...what was meant as a harmless wind up has taken the focus away from what should be a nice watch appreciation thread. I’ve aired my views and that’s all they are...I appreciate that watches do and can appreciate in value, and that, to some 50K may be an inconsequential amount of money like I would consider £20 or so...good on them.
Apologies if I inadvertently upset anyone by trying to be a little controversial/tongue in cheek...carry on regardless. I will skulk back to under £200 watch thread where I belong.

People who can laugh at themselves and not be so precious about something as trivial as a watch are cocks, but the guys who spunk absolute fortunes on watches when people outside their door steps are dying with hunger are top blokes... What a world we live in.
No, it's people are laughing at you, the stupidity of your statements make it even worse. You care so much about the poor and homeless, but you didn't donate that £20 to charity, did you? In fact you looked for a replica watch, happily spending £20 to make it look like you were top dog, all while thinking about the poor and homeless. That's why you're a cock.lostkiwi said:
Nope. In the UK owning a fake watch is not illegal. Selling one is.
I stand corrected. What I meant was the manufacture was probably illegal. I'm no expert. Besides you're missing the point. Or do you think copyrights should not be protected. That would be a world of st. I'm really not bothered about people buying fakes. If that floats their boat then fine. What I was objecting to was them being posted on this thread. Think I've said enough now. The Chinese food has just arrived. Edited by Fallingup on Tuesday 14th May 19:56

Do you really honestly believe having an expensive looking watch on your wrist makes you look 'top dog'??? Suppose driving an expensive car also makes you a cut above the rest too eh?
Only on PH.. lol..
The cock on this thread just happens to be you

Lads, lads, let’s all calm down a bit, eh?
If we were in the pub together it wouldn’t get so heated.
Anyway, I’m off for a beer and a pizza at Rostock Harbour, a virtual ‘cheers’ to you all!
Would probably all have a great time having a few beers together (as long as the millionaires are paying! Lol) If we were in the pub together it wouldn’t get so heated.

+1, lovely thing that.
How (un)obtainable are they, these days?
I’ve been offered one a few times during my recent AD visits, but didn’t bite as they’re not quite to my taste. Very nice watches of course, but they’re not at the head of the queue of the others I was/am now waiting for.How (un)obtainable are they, these days?

Picked this up pre-owned as a full set. Seem to be plenty around. To the best of my knowledge it's the only current steel sports model than can be bought under RRP.How (un)obtainable are they, these days?
I reckon it's a bargain. Modern Rolex quality with maxi case, GMT movement with date, great lume and with the Polar dial it's something quite unique on the wrist. The only thing it's really missing is the glidelock clasp but the easylink works well and it's solid. 42mm might not be for everyone but for a summer/sporty watch I think it's perfect.
Also I heard rumours that it will be discontinued next year.
Gratuitous lume shot....
