I really like the look of many of these 60’s/70’s style Racing watches being produced by some of the new microbrands that have arrived over the last 10 years or so.

There are a lot to choose from in the £200-1000ish range, and the quality of design and manufacture seems excellent for the money (from watching reviews).

I quite fancy one (or two..) for fun, and I especially like the look of the Roue and the Autodromo for starters.

Anyone else seen any nice retro race watches recently? Post them up smile

I have a Roue CHR and it’s a brilliant watch. It actually gets more wrist time than my 1969 Breitling Navitimer 806 and ‘everyday’ Breitling Bentley Speed Six.

I’ve been looking for an Autodromo Prototipo for a few months but I’m just not willing to spend £800 on one when I could have 4 more Roue’s for the same money.

I love the looks and style of the Roue CHR so much.

I watched a couple of review videos and was very impressed with the quality when it was inspected close up.

The quality really is amazing, not only for the price point but in comparison to most other “main” brands up to £3-4K. I get more comments about this watch than any other I have owned.

I regularly spend more on a night out which makes the Roue watches a true bargain.

Well done smile

I have a Roue SSD One and an HDS One. SSD One is on the wrist as i type.

Another brand to throw into the mix would be MHD. Matthew Humphries Design, as in the chap who was Morgan's chief designer for a while. I met him at the Prescott Hillclimb over the last Bank Holiday weekend, he had a stand showing off their watches. He was excellent to chat to.

Good shout on Omologato, I will check these out too.
I have looked at the Dan Henry 1968 before, I like it, but have failed to pull the trigger. Same with the Autodromo watches.

The Roue SSD is so nice.

It was difficult to choose between the CHR and the SSD, but for me, the CHR just edged it.

If anyone fancies a punt on an actual old/vintage racing watch:

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2...

Could go cheap. Needs a service.
