Hi, - unlike most on PH, I can't afford to spend a lot of money on a watch at the moment. I am after a rugged waterproof watch for holidays.

Most obvious choice will be Gshock but they are too big for my small wrists. I looked at baby G but most are aimed at girls (e.g.black face but Rose gold hands etc)... I know there are many cheap casio models around but I wanted to see if I can get something a bit better than that so can use it for few years...

Any suggestions ? Ideally don't want to spend more than £100.. .

Thanks

eybic

Have you tried a G Shock on? That would be my "go to" for a tough watch but understand they are pretty chunky smile

Agree with above G-Shocks come in all different shapes and sizes ranging from huge to only slightly bigger than Baby G’s

I would recommend nipping to a jewellers that sells them and try a small size model.

Other than that I don’t really know of any durable watches under sorry.

I have slim wrists and got one of these, for the money it’s superb quality.

This +1000000

Cracking watch, hard as nails, very waterproof at 200m WR (I dive in mine)

Not your usual gawdy oversized G-Shock. A very practical size, that I would say would fit any size wrist easily. Radio controlled so deadly accurate, solar powered. World time, stopwatch, countdown timer and about 4 alarms.

I've now got 2, as I immediately went out and bought another one when I thought I'd lost the first. Wouldn't be without one.

Available for under £100 in most places.

Casio used to do these in loads of colours but the range seems to be discontinued now, I could only find black for sale on Amazon (mine is a matt blue version). Not big at all for a G-Shock, fits my tiny wrists well.

Another vote here. Super cheap, and yet a little iconic.

Yes (only because of the cost).

That.

Owned mine for a few years now, wouldn't be without it amongst my collection. There are plenty of options within the 5xxx series with different colour cases, modules and negative/positive displays, and for added geek factor a few of them are certified for space travel by NASA. The DW5000 was also Casio's first ever G-Shock nerd

Failing that I'd personally go for any of the other Japanese brands. Seiko, Citizen and Pulsar will all do you OK.

For those not a fan of digital/quartz, there are plenty of Vostok automatic/waterproof at well under £100 - recently bought one myself which fits the brief.

If you made an IED using one of these there’s a very good chance you could reuse the watch.
