Singapore & Vietnam trip - watches and pens?
Discussion
Morning all
I'll be travelling through Singapore and Vietnam in a couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for watch/pen shopping or anywhere I should pop into whilst I'm there? I don't have anything specific in mind nor a set budget.
Any/all suggestions are gratefully welcomed
Thanks!!

Not left the airport in Singapore so no idea.
HCMC has some watch shops, mostly flagship stores on or close to Nguyen Hue... The most ironic street in the world, HCM statue overlooking the Cartier and Gucci shops!
The usual suspects Omega, Tag, Rolex etc virtually indistinguishable from the U.K. stores but the prices are or were quite a lot higher than in the U.K. I was not seriously buying anything so did not attempt to negotiate, the prices in the big brand or department stores are usually fixed.
Tbh there is nothing worth making a point of visiting watch wise.

I'm sure someone more informed will be around to offer advice.
Theres a few used watch shops dotted around. In Singapore. I visited a few in far east plaza. This one springs to mind https://www.hjwatch.com/
There are a couple on the same building too.
As for new brands, you have a huge selection as you can imagine. Sinn is always worth a look.

I live in Singapore.
For second hand watches there are various shops in Far East Plaza (Orchard MRT), Peninsula Plaza (Bugis MRT) and in the People’s park complex (Chinatown MRT)
Singapore is also a great place to buy new Seikos citizens and orient watches.
Best places I now are on ground floor of the Bencoolen. (Rochor MRT).
also some seiko shops at Bras Basah shopping centre. (Near bras basah MRT)
you should be able to get up to approx 30% off list for Seikos.
There is also an interesting Grand Seiko shop on 3rd floor (I think) of Wisma Atria (Orchard MRT) - occasionally they have Rolex sports on commission sale.
lots of high end watch dealers along Orchard road - particularly in Wisma Atria and Paragon shopping centres
