That’s lovely too. Old rotary watches are a thing of class. I have no idea where they went wrong over the years.
I think they just found their niche, made money, and kept at it. The watch world is a bit weird. Just look at Daniel Wellington: cheaply made Chinese junk that flies off the shelves at high prices.
Anyway. Today I’ve decided to wear this today. Birth year date just.
Got my little Constellation back so will be putting it on later hopefully.
I gave it a knock around 3 weeks ago and it stopped working, so it was sent off to deepest Dorset for Paul at Electric Watches to sort out for me. Absolutely spot on service as the guy's known for, I posted it off second class on Friday the 8th, he confirmed receipt on Wednesday the 14th and it was back home with me this morning.
Typically it was running fine when he opened the packaging I sent it in but we decided that it could do with a good dose of looking at so it's now had the following: -
Full service + battery, new DAY wheel (a common fault on these I've been told), ultrasonic case clean and new case back gasket.
All the above plus Royal Mail special delivery back home came to a total of £157 which I'm quite pleased with, even though it's more than the watch cost me when I originally acquired it. Having said that, it's not a monetary thing, just another watch which is not for sale really.
Obligatory picture (It's never looked as clean): -

Here's my only manual wind watch. Belonged to my Grandfather, recently serviced and being kept safe in my watch box.
I too have an old Rotary that belonged to my grandfather that could do with a service. May I ask where you got it done and how much it cost? Thanks

Enjoying the new Geckota strap, love the watch much more now
And a new one for the collection... Always wanted a Seiko 5, this popped up and I had to snap it up.
(Edit, meant for the sub £200 thread, but it's staying now now, too )
