Interesting from the photos I'd think that would be easy to read...but no you still haven't put me off wink
Oh it's easy to read. Just not on the level of the much bigger dial Leoncino or higher contrast SKX

Any recommendations for ~£50 bronze/brass watches? I noticed there are some on Amazon but I don't know if they're actually brass or bad photography.

I've got one of those Corgeut watches. The bezel has a lot of play in it, but apart from that it's a good value watch. The colour of the case is more bronze in tone than a Black Bay Bronze, which looks more like brass to me.

The only problem is I hardly ever wear it because it bothers me that someone might see it and think I'm wearing a fake.

Interesting. Anything cheaper and less copy?

The onyl downside of these really cheap ones from China etc - the cases aren't actually bronze. They're in the most cases coated stainless steel.

I'm not sure you'll get the desired patination?

Ah, I wondered that. Thanks.

Ironically, a few years ago, I sold a cheapie that was nickel plated over brass. rofl

My Helson Shark Driver in Brass, had it a few years and I think it looks really good now. Original strap cracked, still not sure about this one.

A few non OEM straps i got for my Tudor BB.
The first three pics are of a leather strap made by a guy who goes by Neptunestraps on Instagram. The last one is a brown Bartonbands rubber strap.

The leather was £40 + £3 postage to NI. Service was good. Couple of quick clear messages on what i want and he knocked it up in a fortnight. Fantastic for £40 IMHO.

The Bartonband i got direct and cost about £20. The annoyance was paying £12 in tax and fees when it landed in the UK.

Both fit the Tudor BB’s weird 23mm lugs perfectly. Neptune fella seems to have a penchant for Omegas and Panerais so if you’re an ownrrr and fancy something bespoke but reasonable i can recommend him.

That Stowa. Oof.

Has anyone ordered or received one of these yet? I’ve been a long time admirer of this watch and getting pretty close to pulling the trigger or fisting the kumquat or whatever term is being used this week.

Ordered the bronze Marine Original, but am still waiting for it to arrive. They originally said end of August, but I imagine it's due anytime now really.

There's another new bronze release from them coming in September:

Bit of an old thread but always a chance to post my Helson Sharkdiver. Wearing it this last week or so as it's just comfortable and beatable. Patina and weathering just make it look so much better.

Since this thread I've been wearing and loving the Magrette smile

Some patina is appearing and it really adds to the charm.

I'm still loving this and wear it every day.
Checking it against the atomic clock and it has gained 5 seconds in 4 days.
I'm going to put it on a nato that matches the face as the ORIS strap is lovely but for what it costs to replace not a long lasting thing.
