Finally!

It's taken me ages to get this right. The basic components are:

Seagull ST2130 (regulated using Clock Tuner to +0 seconds a day)
Parnis Aquanaut case in rose gold
Corgeut Black Bay dial and hands in rose gold
Black rubber seamaster style strap.

Total cost of components well under £200. Took a while to get right but to say I'm pleased with it is an understatement.

Finally completed my first ever mod, really pleased with it, and it was good fun doing it. However I’ve now got the bug and am deciding on ideas for the next!

Mods:
Dual time Ceramic Insert
Black PVD Coin edge bezel
Double domed sapphire crystal with blue AR
Black PVD Crown with Seiko Sport ‘S’

Looks great. Didn't realise the new 5's had drilled lugs. Or is that another mod?

Wish I had the patience or skills for mods. Would love this with Mercedes hands and red second. Would make a great affordable alternative to an Explorer 1.

I'm not into modding myself, but I bought this for about £50 years ago & I love it.

Yeah that would be a cool mod with maybe hands like these? Just with a red seconds hand

May I present the polar sub. Clearly influenced by the Rolex Polar Explorer. I adore that watch but hate the clyclops and bezel.

Here I’ve taken the elements I like, mostly the mix of orange, white and black style and combined it with the Seiko tradition of the contrast minute hand for their divers.

NH36 powered of course!

+1 Really like that. Never seen a white bezel before but I love it. Transforms the look on the watch.

Thanks, I debated between a sliver yachtmaster bezel and this.

I like the rarity of the white bezel, you really don’t see them on watches.

I did the 'Bird of Paradise' mod about a year ago. Was great fun to do and looks really nice in real life.

Oh, balls. Until this thread I don't think I really got watches. I didn't realise you could hack around to create your own unique frankenwatch. This could be an expensive revelation. Not so much a case of "the penny dropping" as the whole credit limit on a visa card.
