I always maintain that traders/companies etc can never have a 100% satisfaction history, and that’s to be expected - but this guy appears to have slipped through the net and is proving me wrong!
I’ve had a few emails back and forth with Dom for a couple of pieces, but thanks to life getting in the way never managed to make a purchase - but he never got cheesed off with my questions and I will definitely deal with him when the time comes

Recommendations are fine.Im just saying there seems to be diffrent rules on here for diffrent folk. I have nothing what so ever againts Dom.
We did have somebody a while ago who reported every thread about Mr Hackett (they also didn't like it because they weren't allowed to flog their own watches on the forums)
Fair enough,as i said i have nothing againts Dom,so its not a personal thing. But can you not say put an alert on the watch forum to notify if any of us has listed a watch for sale,as i dint think a lot of member even know about watches for sale in the classified section?? And before anyone say’s it No that wasnt me that was complaining!! Lol
It's not advertising. Dom appears to have an infectious enthusiasm about watches.
I've dealt with him and was impressed. If others have the same experience, I think it's natural that they'd recommend him.
He should come with a wealth warning though, I think Dom could talk anyone into buying anything.

There are people on this forum that are very used to buying and selling high-value watches.
Then there are people like me, whose most expensive watch prior to 2015 was a £150 Skagen. After some "help" from PH'ers, I was persuaded that there was no point forking out £500 - £1000 on a Submariner homage if t was actually a Submariner that I wanted.
I was pointed in the direction of Dom Hackett and very shortly afterwards, I sent more than £4,000 by bank transfer to a bloke I'd never met, based PURELY on the feedback and endorsement I'd been given on these forums. A week later I had a no-date Sub on my wrist, which is where it has stayed, almost permanently since then (and due a service, I guess...)
We need to be allowed to post up endorsements of people and companies that are trustworthy and offer great prices / service.
I also believe that we should be allowed to post genuine negative experiences too, but PH's 'name & shame' rules get in the way
