I bought from him yesterday, amazing service - watch delivered today as described in first class condition & very well packaged. I'm a newbie to decent watches & my experience with Dominic will lead me to recommend him & hopefully develop an interest in watches. I would certainly buy from him again.
As to lack of response today, perhaps he is having a day off? Being an independent rather than a chain, he probably runs on low staff.
Persist, you won't regret it.

Another deal done with Dom H today! Absolute legend!

If anyone wants a nice Coke GMTII... he may just have one now!

Also sorting another couple of bits via his watchmaker for me smile

Always a pleasure!

I’ve also had a few positive dealings with Dom. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Hi

Are you happy about it?

I’ve looked at my SD4k lots of times and wondered whether we should (have) do a deal!

You should have said, Don! Happy with the deal with Dom, as always... woke up with no regrets! Will see how the Sub turns out with my modifications i.e. if that looks terrible it won't be a reflection on Dom of course! Easy enough to go back to black, as Amy would say.

He happened to have a Zenith EP that caught my eye waiting on his desk when I got there, the cheeky scamp... but I was committed to 'decluttering'.

The money probably is now burning a hole in my pocket and I do fancy a moonphase JLC... but, no, as we discussed - I'm just in a place where I don't need all these watches and they're worth too much to be languishing in boxes when there are 3 project cars on the drive and next year could be a financial clusterfk for many.

To be honest though... I would probably be happy with an SD4K and nothing else. Love that thing. But my original SD does a fine job. Maybe I'll treat it to a service! A tiny chip in the crystal has always bugged me!

Hi

The reason why I didn’t suggest it was because....... I hadn’t agonised, procrastinated long enough about it! :-)

I think you need to explain..”Sub turns out with my modifications”

It’s funny because I saw this https://www.finewatchclub.co.uk/listing/703479781/... the other day and it got me thinking

I also know about the multiple car plan priblem too, one of them being my Clio 182 which I think you’ve also had?

You've gotta rip the plaster off! If you don't love one of them, set them free - LOL

The Sub Date is getting a Sunburst blue dial and bezel insert... we'll see how they look! I've always missed my Zenith EP 1969 re-issue on a blue gator, so I'm adding some blue back. Part of the reason I'm definitely not in the mindset of wanting something new is that that will feel new, whether I love it or not. It's a gamble.

I'm not sold on the Zenith you posted... the open heart style ones just don't sit well with me! A nice, full face, 3 sub dial Chrono - yes please! Take a look at the one on Dom's site. A touch busy for me with the markers but a lovely thing!

I think I suffer from seperation anxiety :~)

The blue could be really good, the Zenith I posted isn’t me AT ALL, I think it was the finishing / quality that caught my eye, and of course I had already looked at Dom’s EP as soon as you mentioned it!

He has two EPs at the moment, one of which he bought from me - am almost offended it hasn't been bought yet smile

I'd be happy to once he's sold it, else it might put him in an awkward negotiating position. I'm sure that won't be long.

What I will say is that I didn't even bother asking the likes of Watchfinder as I know Dom works on much tighter margins. I was happy with what I believe was fair value.

However, it also depends on condition (mine was pretty excellent), whether it's a COSC watch, all the little differences, etc.

He's also doing a couple of other 'bits' for me, which were worth a few quid to me.

I bought my TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 5 from Dom. Cracking price, quick delivery, what more could I ask for? Came across as a thoroughly likable bloke who I would be happy to buy a pint for.
