That's a great looking watch.
Liked the look of that ever since I've seen my colleague's SARB033. I like how simple it is and all the focus is on the dial instead of a bezel.

Still waiting for the Stowa to be made/shipped so in the meantime been wearing the balls off the Laco. For the £460 it cost with the optional upgrades, have to say it is exceptional value for money for the spec and quality you are getting. I think the clasification by Laco puts people off as it's labelled as a "Pilot Watch Basic", the basic refers to the movement being a Miyota as opposed to the ETA/Selita used in the bigger models. I guess it's perception when seeing the word basic?

Anyway, gifs show it better than stills so...

Having sold both Baltics I now have no dive watches for for the first time ever don't miss a diver at all because the pilot watches in <39mm are so different to the norm.

The Laco is fabulous. I'm thinking about a pair now! One each for myself and my good lady as she only wears men's watches. Plus I get what I want without complaint!

That’s the only Rolex I lust after , awesome
Every time I see a photo of one of these I kick myself for getting rid of mine.

I think this could be the only watch I buy twice (Daytona excepting)

I have one of these in a cupboard where it's lived since I bought it back in December 2018. It was bought for a special occasion which, unfortunately, never came about and not long after I suffered a bit of ill health. I've since lost over a third of my body weight so the watch would probably look ridiculously big on me if I were to wear it now, though it's something I don't want to get rid of as it brings back memories. I've managed to remove links from most of the other watches in my small collection, though don't think that the Deepsea would suit an overly thin wrist.

It's the 126660 version and still has all it's stickers and tags on it, just because I never got round to removing them. Its a shame really but I live in the hope that I'll be able to wear it eventually...

Is the rubber strap curved or straight ends? If it's curved, when did you buy it from?
The strap is curved, no idea where it came from though Ninjin, just came as I bought it.

That looks like a 44/45mm? There's so many I like but the size is just too big for me which makes me sad frown

Have you had it long and has it been in for a service? I ask because with the ETA movement parts supply chain being restricted to the Swatch group only, it seems like servicing these is on the way to being a right pain in years to come unless you send it back to Laco each time who will no doubt have parts stocked up in-house.

Hang on a sec you can get a watch as long as she does to? You have hit the jackpot biggrin

And yes, it has to be done biggrin

I'm to be on it next week! I've flirted the image 'accidentally'. Mrs TH likes.

Like that a lot. Probably the only manual wind watch I would want to own.

Thanks. I was originally on a list for an Explorer and but with Rolex changing the size a couple of weeks back I went into the shop to see if I could try a 36mm watch to get an idea of sizing. They had a vintage 36mm Explorer in their used stock and I didn't gel with it. I hadn't considered a Datejust before walking in the door, but when I tried this one on it just looked and felt right. It will be my daily so didn't want anything too eye catching.

Have other watches I also enjoy, and generally favour a diver most of the time at home. When I'm in the office I wear a smart shirt, so tend to wear this or a dress watch. Trouble is, I haven't been to the office since the autumn.
