What is this old pocket watch?
Discussion
The stamps inside the case give the following information regarding the case:
Stirling silver, Birmingham assay office, 1930.
Dennison watch case co.
Here’s some more info on Dennison, which depending on the movement inside would suggest that yes, it has a value that makes it worth restoring:

The Dennison case is in good condition. I have a seven jewel watch from 1912 (IIRC) in the exact same case, but yours in in better nick.
Please pop the inner case back open and post pictures of the internals. You should find a indentation for a fingernail almost opposite the hinges. It just pops open.
Dennison cases were used by many watchmakers. It's likely that there will be a fairly middle of the road movement in there. It is not going to be a one jewel dollar watch movement in a solid silver case.
It's probably also worth pointing out that the graduated silver watch chain is rather nice too. Looks like every link is hallmarked, just as it should be for solid silver. The chain alone has a very similar value to the watch.

Thank you very much everyone .. .particularly Bristolbaron. I'm quite excited about it. I want to get it restored. Can anyone make a recommendation on who I could use
Joe at Anglesey Watches and Clocks is on PH (Variomatic) and repaired my Dad's mechanical watch, he did a great job and was really well priced. He is best contacted via his Facebook page as he had heart attack a couple of years ago (documented on here, no confidences broken) so is working from home.Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
