I picked up my Tag Chrono from Chronext, ceramic bezel, perfect time keeping. It's now 3 years old and has seen a lot of wear , holding up great in every regard. It's available with a ceramic bracelet too but that isn't to my taste.

It retails at £1650 on Goldsmiths (has gone up in price I'm sure). With some discount codes I found and the chronext lower starting price I got it for around £1150 I think.

With ceramic bracelet (usually £200ish more):

Standard one at Goldsmiths:

I love the soul behind automatics but I really think Tag suits quartz, certainly with my usage.

Pic of lume alongside my Breitling Chronomat:

For 2k I'd get a Omega PO 2500 planet ocean you might have to go private sale though
This is the best idea on this thread, but I would be surprised if you still get them for that. If you can, that is phenomenal value and sure to be a good long term deal.

Face a similar dilemma and fancy a SBGX grand seiko or bumping the budget up and a BB58.

Those 62 mas Seikos are tempting at half the budget too...

I'd be looking at a lightly used Grand Seiko SBGN005 for just under £2k

Arrived today, number 6 of 200. Really, really nice, simple but classy design, feels and looks well made. I'm not a watch collector so this will be my every day watch.
Congratulations, lovely isn’t it?

Time to put some pictures up surely!

I'd stretch to £2.2k or so and buy a 2nd hand blue BB58 Tudor
