Just the one TAG for me...
Carrera WV211B.BA0787 (snappy name eh? ) Bought new in 2007, two days before being made redundant Always liked the simplicity of the design.
As for pre-TAG, I have a couple...
Montreal 750.503 - rescued this from a jeweller who didn't know what it was. Had Heuerboy give it some TLC and repaint the orange hand and tidy up the case. Left the main hands with some patina..When I bought it, it came on a brand new TAG leather strap with deployant. Now on a replica strap with replica Heuer buckle. StewartM who writes the Heuerville blog, noted here that Blue dial. Convex barrel case, Starburst Effect Stainless Steel. Only ever seen with name on the dial and in day/date form. Signed Crown. A rare beast.
"No name" Pasadena 750.503-1 - absolutely immaculate. I even have the orginal sticker from the back. Bought from an ex-Heuer employee. Apparently it was the most expensive watch in the 1981 catalogue. Noted as the "no name" as "Pasadena" isn't written on the dial. Seems more common in PVD finish (where the model number ends -3)
... and my absolute pride and joy... a Daytona 110.203B. Stunning thing. Believed to be my birth year.
ETA - apologies for the cat hair in the photos!

Love those....vintage Heuer would be the way to go for me. Don't suppose there's any bargains to be had these days ?
Some of the more obscure models are still vaguely sensible money, but you do have to watch out for frankenwatches. They all get worn (the Montreal quite a lot as I wanted a useable, daily wearer). The other two tend to be special occasions though.

They are great looking and thanks for the mini write up on each one. I love learning stuff like this, if I remember it is another matter! They all get worn (the Montreal quite a lot as I wanted a useable, daily wearer). The other two tend to be special occasions though.

StewartM's blog "Heuerville" is worth a trawl - https://heuerville.wordpress.com/On the Dash is invaluable as a Heuer resource - http://www.onthedash.com/ - I love trawlling the catalgoues!

I very nearly went for that, but looking at it in the flesh I decided I preferred the Twin Time, very similar thoughTheAngryDog said:
I have two. First one is a 2000 Series from the mid nineties. My first proper watch and first automatic. I was bought this for my 16th birthday by my parents (second hand) and will never be sold. I don't wear it often as it wears a bit small.
The second was a joint wedding present from myself to me and from my wife. This is a Carrera Calibre 5.
Bizarre co-incidence …. Here’s my 30th birthday present that I’ve now passed to Mrs G as it wears too small and it’s replacement from a few years back! The second was a joint wedding present from myself to me and from my wife. This is a Carrera Calibre 5.
Similar in style to the Manhattan is the Senator. This one is on eBay

Are you brave enough to rock one of these.

There aren’t many of these around. A ‘super 2000’ model sold between 1989-94 but bought in c97 in the jewellery quarter in Birmingham. It has gold riders on the bezel and was normally a cream face on a tan leather strap. Mine is black on the rarer ss bracelet. It only gets worn on special occasions now.

Bought new around 2009. Daily for around 9 years, including swimming in the sea, work, well... everything really. Also worn on the birth of both my children. This watch has never let me down (One service in all that time) and I still love it! I’ll never part with this one until I give it to my son when the time is right
Many years ago I owned a manual Heuer Carerra, which I sold to put towards my first house deposit in 2008. It was a beautiful watch and was only sold through desperation.
I’d been watching the market ever since and noticed prices getting further and further away from what I’d sold. Late last year the perfect replacement popped up and a deal was struck. I now have an arguably ’better’ automatic version of the one that got away:
Say what you like about TAG, but an old Heuer is a thing of beauty.
