Whereas you see I look at that and think:

1. How many fonts have they used on that dial?
2. Why can’t they even bother to match the month/day/date wheels to the dial?
3. Does the date actually fit in the date window?
4. How much?!
Last summer, with a large monetary sum incoming, I got very close to buying a Nautilus. I didn't, because I got too busy on other things, and now I'm fairly glad. A bit like AP Royal Oaks (also on my list), they seem to be 'victims' of fashion. I'm not bothered about what others think, but I've concluded that, much like Rolex, the price doesn't reflect the value. And currently, pre-owned values of PP and AP are apparently on the slide.

I know that, arguably and objectively, few mechanical watches are 'worth' the price, but PP (and AP) do seem to thrive on the "This is really expensive" image.

IMO smile

Pretty sure you can get them on Alibaba at £23 for six. Proper quartz movement too.

Oh come on, it's not THAT bad. smile Patek only do complicated ones these days and I'm certainly not paying ridiculous overs for one of the simple classics.

Bloody love this, cool construction too;

https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/oris-propilot-co...

Local dealer has got one in according to social media so might pop down to try it on. Feels like big money for an Oris and might feel too light but I love the look of it.

That is really rather nice.

Article says $4500 - somewhat above any budget I might have... frown lol

£3200 n the U.K. which sounds like a lot for an Oris.

But then it’s an in house movement in a unique case, it might be worth keeping an eye out for discounted stock if they struggle to shift the 1000 they’re making.

These look amazing

https://oracleoftime.com/louis-vuitton-tambour-moo...

Heaven knows how much they cost.

I have to admit I didn't realise LV actually made some pretty high end watches, but they make several flying tourbillon models
