I inherited a Rolex a very long time ago, but know absolutely nothing about it. I've never really been in to watches (I assume wearing an Apple Watch is some sort of heresy in here), but I can appreciate the craftsmanship that goes in to them. My wife asked me (on behalf of my brother-in-law, who had sent her a photo of a new model he's buying) exactly what I had. I felt a little bad that I have no idea, and thought it was time to find out. I don't have a recent photo (the watch is at my parents' home), and I think the one I've got fails all of the guidance given in the sticky. Sorry.

Any info on what it is, or how to go about finding out would be much appreciated.

Is that a gold Dennison case? Octagonal Oyster: what a beautiful art deco watch. Worth somewhere between £5-10,000 depending on the case material and who wants it. Possibly more.
