Can anyone recommend a good spring bar tool? The one that came in my box of pins was made of cheese and bent immediately while trying to fit a new pin.

There's a bunch on Amazon but it's hard to distinguish a good one from bad!
PM me your address and I'll pop one of the spares I have in the post for you.

Looks good. I could end up with a whole selection of tools I don't really need

Generally Bergeon are most peoples go to brand.
Yeah Burgeon 6767, well made and slim enough fork to fit just about any bracelet or get under any strap without damaging it. Those plastic ones are functional, but not worth using on something you'd really rather not damage.

I have acquired this,

Whilst moving out the other month my girlfriends mum found this from her 20 years as a higher up at HSBC, genuine leather strap too fwiw,

Not the most fitting for my wrist size but doesn’t look out of place so will get a battery and give it a wear,

Very nice! Christopher Ward watches are really growing on me. I would love to have their Pan-Am special edition, but it’s sadly sold out. Well outwith the budget in this thread though!

Timex do some Pan Am watches too. Different styles to CW but may fill the gap you have.

I like those Timex ones, particularly the auto. Definitely got the retro look about them.

Every time you post a picture of that one it looks that little bit nicer.

In other news, I may have just agreed to blow my entire year's watch buying budget on one purchase.Something I've been chasing for about four years. It's not exactly the spec I was after, but it's very close, in nice condition and the price is fair. If not a little over thread budget (what's one poxy little piddling order of magnitude between friends?)

It means I won't be contributing to this thread with any pictures of £200ish watch purchases for quite some time to come.

Looks great Lentil. Orient do great sunburst on their dials. Remember the brown on my Helios being really nice.

Interested to see your find too Skunk!

I've put my Duckworth on to celebrate the first sunny day I've had off this year. Feeling very much in the spring mood.

Brokenskunk, would that be an Omega Constellation that you have blown the watch budget on perchance?

The reference number and case back posted in the other place sort of gives it away.

I am sure Bobberoo would like to see a picture of it here aswell!

Class watch, I assume it is of the vintage variety?
