Pretty pleased to have just rescued this from a pile of watches in a vintage shop. Looks to have never been worn. £50 which I thought was good.
That looks great, love these. Is it the quartz or mechanical version?

Thank you. It’s a quartz version. I have seen a few pictures of these on here that other members have posted and liked them. It feels solidly built.

I spent over an hour this afternoon wasting time changing bracelets and straps around different watches as I thought that in particular one bracelet I had would look amazing on one of my other watches. Then if that bracelet was removed from the watch it was on it had to be replaced with another of my bracelets, whether that was one of my two spare bracelets or one from another watch.

This process went on for ages swapping this for that and changing left right and centre.

The end result......

Everything went back to how it was at the beginning. At least I know the watch and bracelet combo that I thought would be brilliant isn't! It was all too shiny and polished even for me.

The watch in question back on the vintage leather. That's 37mm of polished dive watch goodness for me.

There is telehandler news if anyone is interested. As a teaser I was physically shocked by an attachment for it that my son collected yesterday! There are BIG plans.

Apologies if this isn’t suitable to the topic but it seems to be the most supportive watch thread

Currently have all the parts on the way to make myself a stainless steel/blue bezel/white dial diver and i’m considering a perforated “rally style” blue leather strap, does anyone have any pics of any coloured straps?

Wondering if it’s best to go with basic brown or black hehe

Hopefully some of the regulars can help, I know a few dabble in different straps.

Hirsch do some really high quality rally straps, I have one on my CW.

Rally straps are great. I found that Blue particularly makes the white pop, and can sort of be worn with anything. With a blue bezel you'd probably want to avoid colours that clash such as red, though orange seems a pairing that somehow manages to often work.

Classic options of black or brown are always going to look nice, though black dresses a white watch up more than a casual brown.

Grab a few different colours to see what works for you. You need not spend a fortune for a decent strap, £5 - £10 will get you something well made, and will even have solid metal hardware if you've got a keen eye for that stuff.

Blue is generally my pick for white. Looking forward to seeing how yours looks.

I’d second Hirsch. Loads of options and they seem to be fairly durable

Be careful with straps. I've done various bits of digging and there are quite a few brands selling Ali express straps as their own. Occasionally they might press their own name into it or engrave the buckle, but often they're totally unchanged. Not a problem as the Ali ones are sometimes very decent, but why pay £40 when you could be paying £7.

I think the Hirsch ones seem legit though, but their pricing is a bit odd, £100 for one strap, then £30 for the same one with same material but in a different shade with no obvious special offer?.

I agree on that, some straps can fluctuate massive amounts for such minor details

I’ve been looking on various different sites and have put a list together to slowly pick between using power of elimination,

Will 100% make sure to update when i get it built biggrin

Currently all parts are in transit from wherever they all originated from

Couple of threadworthy incomings due to arrive this week.

Yes I'm a pilot watch addict.

Needed to tick the 1963 seagull box

Also wanted to see how the Englemann stacks up against my Sinns.

Animal charity offering!

Remember back in January Janluke offered a watch free if the recipient gave a donation to an animal charity. Well, I was the lucky owner. I still wear it often.

Recently I bought this for my Son as a present for his exams: he likes "really old", "vintage" and "ancient" sportswear from the 2000s and before, so a Bridgestone motorsport watch will go down well. I also got this Casio Ediface. Its lovely looking, lovely condition, with a new battery. But its too big for me.

The Bridgetsone watch:

And now, for a new owner if they agree to a small donation to an animal charity of their choice, a lovely big watch. Very big, as it turns out

In its box, with paperwork

And how it feels when I wore it. 5 points if you can identify the song...

PM me if you'd like the watch. And donate to an animal charity of your choice. Happy wearing!

I'd love the Edifice, currently a bit skint as in the middle of the house buying palava, but i could manage a small sum if it's still available.

I am getting shock the monkey vibes for the song, that video was set in an office BUT that isn't Peter Gabriel so I must be wrong (still looks like an 80s video).
