My Vostok Europe GAZ-14 Limousine has arrived and it's a rather lovely thing!!

In the pics the face was more cream but in the flesh it's actually a muted gold colour, the face is super legible and I like the power reserve indicator.

The seller sent it very well packaged, really pleased with it.

I meant to post this yesterday, my old boss treated himself to a Detrash in the Black Friday sales, his birth year is 1973 she managed to get 73/200.

It's a lovely thing, very well made.

Recent birthday present from the OH for way less than thread limit. It's just a lovely vintage thing with the offset crown being just a bit unusual.

Now that's a lovely looking thing.

Got second hand for 75 quid today. Eco drive so charges via the solar panel in the screen. Titanium strap so light.

Was after a plain but classy-ish, light weight and thin 38mm. Happy, looks better than thought would and like the 90s/00 vibe strap.

Cracking buy at £75, well played.

Received and replied!

I'll be going for the larger bronze Old Smith for my own watch, I think, not settled on dial colour as I'm sure I've seen/read that they have a blue dial version that's only available in-store and doesn't appear on the website, so will be investigating that.

Frustratingly, AP have a fun thing in Tokyo where you can play at doing some finishing work on watch components, but I left it too late to book, so I will have to make a concentrated effort to not forget to book myself in for my next trip out that way!
It's very kind of you to offer to pick up watches for the threadists InitialDave, I would love a Casio Oceanus but unfortunately I'm not in a position to buy one at the moment, have a great trip out there!!!

Did you have a particular Oceanus in mind? I have one, that despite being a lovely watch etc, I just don't wear.;)
As Pebbles said, post it up there's a lot of lurkers here as well as regulars, I'm always amazed at how well received this thread is, and it's all down to you guys and gals who keep it light, interesting, fun and warm.

Ooooh, I've had a hankering for a T200 for a good while, love the colour of that strap too....
Watch has now sold and is all boxed up ready to be sent off tomorrow.
Really pleased to hear that, hopefully it's going to someone on the thread.
My personal choice is for the white dial and blue surround markers.

Those of you who remember my £46.95 Addiesdive orange dial watch I purchased earlier in the month might, or probably won't, remember that I wasn't impressed with the cheap buckle on the strap, well I bought a milled clasp as you all seem to like them, and fitted it today.....

Tis much nicerer than the original, and at £7.89 I really can't complain too much!!

Looking forward to seeing those Llentil, they sound interesting!!

Well my last watch arrived yesterday, a Seiko perpetual calendar, it's a a lovely plain little thing, smaller than I normally wear but I really like it, pics shortly along with a SOTC pic for all.

So Seiko update, it's an SNQ097 which is a quartz movement, black on black, red markers and stitching on the carbon effect leather strap, which is very supple, it's very thin and wears nicely on the wrist, smaller than I normally wear at 39mm but I'm really impressed with it so far.

Nice SOTC Wayoutwest, a real shame the Longines needs a visit to the repairer. I watch a lot of Teddy Baldersarre videos on Youtube and he often talks about servicing costs should be factored in when buying an automatic and especially that every complication added raises the servicing cost.

I can't believe here we are on January 2nd and I am so excited about new watches coming in to me. First of all seeing InitialDaves post about the Knot watches (that I had no knowledge about) made me think that hopefully if it is in stock a Kuoe, direct from Kuoe Japan will be collected for me this weekend. Amazing that a £200 threadist would be kind enough to do such a thing. Stunning watch, hopefully bought in thread budget due to the actions of a very kind gentleman who I only know of because of this place.

I said new watches......

I have just ordered at 55% of thread budget a direct homage to Gerald Genta's last (I think) round watch design before somebody gave him a ruler as a Christmas present (Andrew Morgan joke, not my joke as I don't have the capacity/knowledge to be that funny). It is a real retro dress watch and the manufacturer has stated that because the chapter ring is made of multiple layers and that the hour marker dots are made up of multiple layers to recreate the retro visual look that things might perfectly not line up. If you want things to be perfectly aligned then please don't order this watch. Oh yeah it is fully polished and is 36.5mm and has a beads of rice bracelet (God bless the General). Feck yeah, two small shiny dress watches coming in to me in the next couple of weeks.

Those two spaces on my new watch box filled and yes the problem was "you're gonna need a bigger watch box".

That bl00dy Bobberoo (congrats on the 200Kg Bobbers)
Should have replied to this, thanks Llentil, it's been a long journey but so pleased I finally achieved it.

That is absolutely gorgeous!
A fine find! Only seem to be US seller from a quick google at the moment frown
It's a lovely looking thing, light and thin, and yes sadly I think only available from America which is where mine came from, £158 for the watch and postage, £38.35 for the sodding government in duty!!!
