I was out walking earlier, I was passed by a load of Lycra clad bicycling bods wearing cheap watches and murdering Wagner like Elmer Fudd.
I had that dream too, except in my version there was a grizzled fellow at the head of the peloton, with the rest all singing "Bobbers is our leader!"Lay off the Camembert after 10pm, is my advice.

Holy s
t that's bad!!
How the hell has it bent it that bad???
Well, hopefully the guy you're taking it to will be able to help, if it does require disassembly to cut out and weld in new rails then I'm afraid that's what it's going to have to be.

Less flight of the Valkries, more old farts on velocipedes.Useful website if you have a G-Shock. Their straps are annoyingly specific, so getting a new strap can be a pain in the arse, (at least it is in Bulgaria).
It tells you which watches have compatible straps and bezels.
https://shockbase.org/watches/compatibility_dyn.ph...
Just put my new strap for my G-9200 on, (strap is from G-9100). Strap is black, different from t e original, but looks perfectly good as watch had black lower, and buttons, so fits well.

Expecting a paratrooper strap for my little Timex tomorrow. It's cheap, it's battered, (as you can see), but It's a cracking little watch.

Arrived.
Feels very comfortable. Barely feel anything in your wrist. Being elasticated I thought it wouldn't be much cop on a heavier watch, like my TH Aquaracer, but it's pretty sturdy material, so should be fine. The watch sits a lot closer to the wrist than a NATO would, especially a 2 pass one.

Hello fellow adventurers of the timepiece thread of wonderland that embraces the widest and friendliest horology ever encountered by man!
I haven't posted for quite a few weeks but have read daily, does that make me a user or abuser of this place - who knows.
My more recent postings (when I was arsed to actually pick up a keyboard and say something) was about a £10 Casio with a "handlebar" picture (apparently I am a trend leader, since I posted that picture LOADS of bike pictures have been posted, I haven't commented) BUT there is a problem.
I have closely inspected my Casio today to accurately use the second hand, whilst the second hand is accurate in time against other time measuring devices, it does not line up with the markers on the dial (actually by a surprising way for Casio product). On closer inspection I don't think it is a hand problem but the watch face is not quite central in the case.
Should I,
1. Moan like hell on the internet
2. Demand that the manufacturer make it absolutely perfect beyond any justification of a mass produced or hand made product and then still slag off the manufacturer
3. Accept life has pros and cons and the watch does everything else exceptionally within the money I spent and is within tolerance of specs.
I do do ones and twos daily, however I am a 3 on this.
This last little faux pa has made me smile about cheap watches, I can still count seconds accurately which is the function of the second hand, has not changed about how great this watch is at doing the things I bought it for and made me re-appreciate about cost/spend/enjoyment.
I love £200ish watches

Speaking of Casio, popped into town yestedday thinking about a new everyday watch and a treat to celebrate my weight loss.
(The loose feeling of the metal strap is a constant reminder of doing well) I bought this Casio ediface:

Looks black in this pic but its a dark blue face. New, with 2 yr warranty but in H samual it was reduced as a "clearence" from £180...
...down to £55.!
Plenty left over for the Opera. Tra la laaaaaaaa!!! As Captain Underpants warbles
