Anyway to lower the tone, this Invicta is kept in the collection purely to stop me browsing vintage dive watches. It s battered and bruised but has a pleasant if generic vintage vibe.

You can never have too many vintage style dive watches!I've not actually worn my 1953 all that much recently, but it is going nowhere.
Meanwhile, here are some Corgeuts to browse

Anyone need any 22mm straps? Have a load here that are unused other than just test fitting. Most are quick release, mix of NATO, leather and rubber. Maybe £70 worth? Doubt I'll ever have a watch using this lug width again so no use for them.
Happy to send out to anyone who wants them, cost is a trust donation of £1 to an animal charity of your choice!

I'd gladly take a couple of these from you if available? The brown leather perforated straps on the bottom left and the orange rubber?? Happy to make a donation to animal charity. Happy to send out to anyone who wants them, cost is a trust donation of £1 to an animal charity of your choice!

Would it be possible to put my name down for these three please if they are still available? Thank you!

Very happy to give to an animal charity for the two straps arrowed, if possible. Extremely generous of you!

Great! Will get them sent out (I think you've picked the best ones!) And as with the charity, I mean it's an as and when thing, don't need any proof!

I've not been keeping up.So I'm going multi-quote (pronounced in the manner of Mila Jovovich's Leeloo).
How big is your one? It doesn't look absurdly oversized on your wrist. If it's not a rude question, what size is your wrist?
Thank you. I was aware of the Superior range and I'd even seen a picture of a 4883, but not a decent detailed photo. I didn't appreciate just how good the thing is. It's bloody difficult to capture the essence of this thing with a photograph.
The problem is, now I've seen the 4883, I need a 9883 to keep it company. And I don't do quartz watches.

It s a lovely thing, that s for sure. Well bought.

Thank you BM! And thanks for taking the time to enlarge and crop my photo. Yup, that's exactly what I meant.
You're not lowering the tone at all. There's a definite vintage charm to that Invicta, you've posted it before. I can't put my finger on what's nice about it. It's not trying too hard and it's all the better for it.
Nice office photos too. Love an opera update, you certainly lead a far more interesting life than I do!

One of you nice chaps posted a picture of a watch I took a shine to, and followed-up with a link which, obvs, I clicked on and pursued. So this arrived and I'm chuffed.

That happens a lot in this thread. We're all exceptionally lucky to be healthy and wealthy enough to indulge in such frivolity. I like the recraft range, I have a SNKMN97, "the green and gold one". I was going to buy the one you've got to keep it company, but mine is absolutely huge. Almost comically so. I do wear it, but I'd never deliberately buy a watch that big again. From memory it has 24mm lugs or something daft. How big is your one? It doesn't look absurdly oversized on your wrist. If it's not a rude question, what size is your wrist?

Happy to be guilty of that, and glad it's met your expectations. The photos can never show just how stunning they are in the flesh when the light catches the details, it's a very special watch and you got a bargain there.

Brokenskunk that Vulcain looks lovely and as you well know a small no complication 3 hand watch is a "go to" for me but I think I have found what I want elsewhere. Just need to see it in person which should happen in about a months time. It of course has a lot of 50s retro design styling!
No worries Lentil, fully understood. I shall wait on tenterhooks for the big reveal. I'm interested to see what you've come up with.BrokenSkunk said:

My wrist is about 8 inches (I'm sure there's a fnarr there somewhere!). The watch is about 40 mm across. It's certainly a bit of a beast but sits very nicely and doesn't look daft. I'm delighted with it. Palmela said:

Three out, two in, and one straight back out again
I wanted a quartz diver that I could use as a holiday watch and occasional beater. I started idly browsing Vinted again and ended up with a couple. The first to arrive was a Sekonda which was, honestly, crap - jangly bracelet, loose bezel, and it turned out to be one of the old ones with minimal WR. I overpaid for it, and have since re-sold it at a loss of about 20 quid (with a jarringly honest advert!) just to save it from a fate of sitting in a drawer forever more.
Fortunately, I also found this which came with the standard (unused) rubber strap as well as a decent burnt-orange leather strap for 30 quid.

Screw-down crown, lovely precise movement on the bezel, excellent. As with my previous Pagani I'm blown away by the quality of such an inexpensive watch.

That's a great holiday watch. Pagani do some decent stuff.

My resolution not to buy any watches this year didn’t last long.

I have had various Steeldive, Parnis, Pagani Design, Corgeut, Berny (Inn?) and lots of other Chinese watches over the years but never an SM.
At £85 with a Seiko NH34 gmt movement I couldn’t resist.
Call it a reward for a month cycle commuting 17 miles a day through the awful winter Yorkshire weather. Good God, it’s been horrific.

I have the same watch, bought mine new from EvilBay for less than £48 on the original steel bracelet, I think for how little they cost they're a cracking watch!!!

Who was looking for a blue face watch??
Forgot I had this Seiko Recraft too. Wore it once out for dinner and then decided it was so nice I didn't want to mark it so put it back in it's box!
Most lovely deep deep blue face. Looks black in the shade but that glorious Seiko burst brings it to life. To me it's fabulous, not overly expensive and really as nice anything else significantly more expensive that I have seen.
