Presenting the Eaglemoss blancpain homage watch. Bought for the grand total of 5 quid! Very cheap and looks like a toy watch, but something a bit different and definitely in thread budget!

Coincidentally, my latest arrival was today, and also within thread budget.

Very happy on first impressions. Quality is definitely above its price point overall.

That's a Beaut! Much better looking than mine...ive a nice cadisen as well. NH36A hacking movement. Great value watches.

Ive never seen a fifty fathoms with a red face before. Very nice !

Strictly speaking it's a copy of the Spinnaker Fleuss, which is in turn a 50 Fathoms homage. I owned one and it was decent enough. Cadisen have also done the same with the Spinnaker Bradner.

Both of these are fairly affordable anyway and available for about £170, so I'm all up for the Cadisen ones, as long as the price is considerably lower than that of the Spinnaker (since in my opinion they're not as nicely finished).

In all likelihood, they're made in the same factory hehe

Love all the red 50 fathoms watches. I really like red dials but believe that they are generally not purchased/liked too much compared to other colours. If my 50 fathoms homage had been available in a red sunburst I would have done that for sure.

Unfortunately all my watch buying plans have been put on hold for a LONG time. I had my next three or four watches lined up in my head including the blue sunburst that you good people had helped me with. The reason is one of the most PH things to do!

I have sold my car (pictures in the Jaguar XK thread) and apparently gone for maximum PH points by buying the answer to any question - yes it is an MX5.

This means no new watch stuff from the barn, the upside is that to get my watch fix I will "enable" all you good people even more. So please get buying and posting so that vicariously I can live the watch dream.

Many thanks, Llentil

Yeah, I'd looked at the Spinnaker Fleuss too.
Two things swayed me toward the Cadisen in this case;
1) The Spinnaker logo just struck me as too noticeable and too wide for this particular dial face. The Cadisen logo and brand is just more subtle on the dial. Purely personal taste though.
2) The Cadisen was £81 delivered without discounts, so two Cadisen's could be had for one Spinnaker, and with loose pocket change remaining too. laugh

Valid, both counts!

It's also listed at 40mm. Being someone that thought the Fleuss to be a tad big at 42mm then the Cadisen would have possibly suited me better (alas it wasn't around then).

As it happens I paid £140 for the Fleuss, £80 for the bracelet, then sold the lot for £110. Damn!

All part of the discovery journey, much more certain of what I will and won't wear now.

My cadisen C1032 on a milanese. I found the original bracelet a bit blingy. I snapped up this for £37 and its a cracker for the money. NH36 with sapphire crystal. Looks great in this new strap.

^ very classy indeed.

I would defy even the most mesh-skeptic amongst us to say that doesn’t look, well, ‘right’.

Got the new strap in and it looks great. Id ordered the wrong size bezel insert, so waiting on the new, hopefully correct size, black bezel coming today. Will add pics if it fits!

Bezel came, was about 0.1mm too big! Was just sitting slightly proud one end. Tried sanding and filing, but ceramic so nothing even touched it. Decided to trya nd force fit it with the back end of one of the fiel handles. Popped in nice and flush...it ain't coming out of there anytime soon! Well chuffed with the result.

Thanks very much. A couple of small changes, cyclops off, new strap and the bezel was the best choice...im delighted with it. Still comes under thread budget, so all good.

Birthday gift from my wife. Brilliant quality and very comfortable.
I have the exact same watch. An excellent item. Great lume, very comfortable and looks the business to my eyes. Well done Mrs Kosmidry!
I’ve had it just over a week now and had it on all weekend. I’ve got to agree it’s so comfortable and well made! I have a fair few watch’s nothing fancy and this has got to be my favourite.

Kosmidy, excellent watch!

OK after weeks of searching and deciding not to buy anything due to new car purchase I have just put £220 on the credit card on a brand new blue dialed 38mm watch. I had no idea it existed until a long internet session this afternoon. It should be here (as long as it is not vapour ware, a possibility) at the end of the week. I feel in many ways I am taking one for the team here. Not seen the watch ever mentioned before, from a seller that does exist but could be a little dubious.

Please can you all cross your collective fingers for me that the watch physically turns up and that it is a "belter", as ever time will tell. Nothing ventured in £200 land, nothing gained!
