Apologies if this isn t suitable to the topic but it seems to be the most supportive watch thread
Currently have all the parts on the way to make myself a stainless steel/blue bezel/white dial diver and i m considering a perforated rally style blue leather strap, does anyone have any pics of any coloured straps?
Wondering if it s best to go with basic brown or black
Rally straps are great. I found that Blue particularly makes the white pop, and can sort of be worn with anything. With a blue bezel you'd probably want to avoid colours that clash such as red, though orange seems a pairing that somehow manages to often work.Currently have all the parts on the way to make myself a stainless steel/blue bezel/white dial diver and i m considering a perforated rally style blue leather strap, does anyone have any pics of any coloured straps?

Classic options of black or brown are always going to look nice, though black dresses a white watch up more than a casual brown.
Grab a few different colours to see what works for you. You need not spend a fortune for a decent strap, £5 - £10 will get you something well made, and will even have solid metal hardware if you've got a keen eye for that stuff.
Blue is generally my pick for white. Looking forward to seeing how yours looks.

Be careful with straps. I've done various bits of digging and there are quite a few brands selling Ali express straps as their own. Occasionally they might press their own name into it or engrave the buckle, but often they're totally unchanged. Not a problem as the Ali ones are sometimes very decent, but why pay £40 when you could be paying £7.
I think the Hirsch ones seem legit though, but their pricing is a bit odd, £100 for one strap, then £30 for the same one with same material but in a different shade with no obvious special offer?.
Hirsch have been making watch straps for over 80 years, they are definitely legit.I think the Hirsch ones seem legit though, but their pricing is a bit odd, £100 for one strap, then £30 for the same one with same material but in a different shade with no obvious special offer?.
Lovely ‘view from the office’. This is the Welsh Millennium Centre main stage, down at Cardiff Bay and what a facility it is. We opened Wagner’s Flying Dutchman here last week in a new production by the Welsh National Opera.
…and here I am as the eponymous character, over-acting as usual.
Anyway, next stop Plymouth, this Friday, then Birmingham and Milton Keynes.

And the reason I remain in this group is because I can get just as excited over a new Timex digital watch as I can over a tag autavia!
Had both the tag and the Timex arrive yesterday and I've spent more time playing with straps on the Timex than I have for the tag!

That's lovely!!I think they were given out by one of those monthly watch clubs that deliver a watch of questionable quality/provenance at regular intervals.
Not that we need any of that nonsense round these parts, as we re too busy enabling each other.

Animal charity offering!
Remember back in January Janluke offered a watch free if the recipient gave a donation to an animal charity. Well, I was the lucky owner. I still wear it often.
Recently I bought this for my Son as a present for his exams: he likes "really old", "vintage" and "ancient" sportswear from the 2000s and before, so a Bridgestone motorsport watch will go down well. I also got this Casio Ediface. Its lovely looking, lovely condition, with a new battery. But its too big for me.
The Bridgetsone watch:

And now, for a new owner if they agree to a small donation to an animal charity of their choice, a lovely big watch. Very big, as it turns out
[url=https://flic.kr/p/2s8vUqB]
In its box, with paperwork
[url=https://flic.kr/p/2s8BjwU]
And how it feels when I wore it. 5 points if you can identify the song...

PM me if you'd like the watch. And donate to an animal charity of your choice. Happy wearing!

You weren't wrong on the size, it dwarfs my Monster.

Love it, especially the colour. After a bit of an instruction read i got the stopwatch hands back to their zero positions too, perfectly timed boiled eggs incoming.
