Its my dads birthday today he would of been 59 and its also fathers day so decided to put my dads watch on the wrist, ill probably keep it on for a few weeks now as got my first son being born in 9 days so will keep it on for that occasion.

My dads Rolex was proudly on my wrist at 0342 this morning when my first child (son) was born, few photos of him and the watch so when he inherits it eventually he will know its story.
Congratulations Norseman! I hope your watch has strong lume because you'll have to get up at all hours for feeding and nappy changing... wink

Congrats - I’ve seen your posts on the expectant dads thread. Didn’t your little one arrive a bit early? If so, hopefully all going well. Nice thing to inherit, especially with that history. Great idea to photograph it with him thumbup

Many congratulations! My father died a long time before my children arrived. Each will inherit one of his wat he's, suitable for a lady. The 36mm 1960s Omega Constellation, and the 36mm Omega Deville. Little monetary value, but hopefully they will understand the sentimental value.

Congratulations..! Welcome to the joys of fatherhood. And a fabulous thread of continuity from your father through you to your son. Hope that baby and mum are both doing well..!

It wasn’t a conscious decision but I had this on for the birth of both my young’uns. I was a little bit into watches at the time but not like now… this was the watch I wore daily and I had a nice watch for smart occasions and a watch for messing about with cars, sport, gardening. So the Tag ended up doing duties through many important instances in my life - it means the world to me (even though I know they’re not popular around these parts) and it only gets worn sparingly now, particularly if there’s something happening where I feel I need a bit of luck!

I won’t part with it until I give it to my boy on his 21st

Nice that. I wear my Tag aquaracer in a similar way. Solid watches in my opinion.

Whilst that is impressive, have you seen the 1 second sweep on the Defy EP 21?
