Finally got a genuine one yesterday from Battersea Power Station. They had most of the collection apart from Moon/Mercury.

When I first saw these watches last year I really wanted a Saturn, but ended up coming out with a Jupiter. I don't like the dark strap but I've ordered a beige strap for it. I think I would actually have gone for Pluto if they had it, looked great in the display case.

Very pleased with the watch. Compared to my £20 DHgate special, it's noticeably better. The fakes just can't recreate the colours properly, and the satin finish on the bioceramic is really smart.

I'm starting to think the same about my DHGate ones now I've had them for a bit. One of them doesn't have the hour hand quite in the right place and the chrono hand doesn't quite sit bang on 12 o'clock.

It's just finding them in stock anywhere that's the problem living in the sticks.

I'm absolutely of the same opinion. I have 3 genuine ones and a Neptune one from DHgate. It is fun and I still wear it, but the minute I get my hand on a real Neptune at normal rate, I'll opt for one of those!

I chucked my 15 quid special. It was junk. Hopefully get a real one soon.

My DHgate Jupiter & Saturn, with the genuine Jupiter in the middle.

The differences are more pronounced in bright daylight. The face on the fake Jupiter has a metallic reflection to it for some reason, you can make it out in this photo on the chrono dials. The biggest difference though is the case, the bioceramic on the genuine one has a really nice matt sheen to it and a sharpness to the edge that you don't get on the plastic fakes. The strap is also a lot better on the genuine one, notice how the 'Swatch' printing on my fake Saturn is already wearing away after half a dozen wears.

I'm happy enough with the real one that I'll keep it, but I'm glad to have the DHgate ones to knock about in. Don't mind wearing them for manual tasks, I'll save the genuine one for smart casual. It's something different from my smarter 'going out' watches.

AliExpress Neptune turned up with all the bits last week and it's close enough (against pictures) to not worry me too much about getting to London and queuing, or paying over the odds. I've got it out of my system now and I've only spent 10% of the minimum possible for a real one.

One question though, this seems really lightweight,, are the real ones that light?

Queuing isn't the issue anymore, I walked into all three Moonswatch stores at some point over the last month and was able to speak to someone straight away. The issue is supply.

They are pretty light yes. My genuine one is maybe 10-20% heavier than the fake but no more than that.

I was finally able to fondle one in Paris last week. They had about 8 versions available, mainly the brighter colours. In the hand though felt very lightweight… I’m not Arnie, but too light for me.

Cool. My main concern is that the 'glass' is very soft feeling plastic (is that like the real one?) and I guess it won't take much to scratch it.

I think I'll mostly be wearing it at weekends as a cheap timepiece, but clearly it's not going to last long without due care, which kind of defeats it's purchase. So do I keep it for 'going out' occasions (for conversation!) and keep it's longevity as a oddball in my collection? Or I should I just treat it as disposable and keep getting them sent in from China?

If the real one is this plasticy, I'm glad I didn't commit to £207 and end up with the same dilemma.

I grabbed some cheap face protectors from Amazon, doing a decent job of keeping it scratch free and you can’t tell it has one fitted. Real one, not fake.

I popped into the Swatch shop in Seville. Took a look. Decided I didn't like them - prefer the metal one without the Omega logo.

You can adjust the chrono hands. How you do it will depend on the exact movement you have, but it normally involves pulling out the crown, and holding one of the pushers while pushing the other.

I quite liked a few of their metal ones when I was in the Glasgow store. Quite smart but I'd probably be going slightly higher towards Seiko or similar priced accurist etc.

I might be wrong but I think Chris Martin was letting people know he’s collecting them too…

I'm another who would like to buy one of these watches, but is not going to travel 100 miles into central London, on the off chance they might have a design I want. I've dropped Swatch an email and inevitably received a copy and paste answer, it's a shame. I'd not asked them for a discount (nor would I expect one), just the opportunity to buy one online from a legit. source. Has anyone tried to contact any of the shops to see if they will mail order them?

Email received:
Hi!

Many thanks for your email.

We've been overwhelmed with the huge enthusiasm for the Omega MoonSwatch collaboration.
At present it is only available in our Oxford Street, Covent Garden and Battersea stores in London, and Edinburgh and Glasgow in Scotland.

However, we do not have access to the stocks in the store and we do not have access to the deliveries of the store but the stores do have the watches available for purchase.
Kindly contact the stores to confirm current availability of stocks for the moonswatch

we’re not able to reserve or pre-order watches and currently there are no plans to sell the collection online. Likewise discounts are not available for the watch.

Kind regards
Swatch and Flik Flak

It is frustrating that they never released the watches to anywhere other than (almost) the two extremes of the country north and south, I would have thought there was a strong argument to go somewhere like Manchester with them in addition.
It doesn't matter too much to me now because I picked one up on holiday in Krakow but I think they missed a trick.
