Popped into my local AD to see about my next purchase, was informed it's one they can probably order in for me, not quite ready yet, will be a long wait until around april next year! Which is a good job as i'll need to sell a few first.

Not on wrist because it was dark when I was wearing it but a birthday present at the weekend for me:

I have an Aubergine and wasn't going to pick up another one (especially after the recent passion fruit thing) but the Watermelon was the one that put me onto the brand and my girlfriend was very kind and treated me. Very nice in person and a nice companion to the Aubergine.

Given the rising waters, I’ve dug out some deep sea watches for the week ahead.

I bought this watch nearly twenty years ago not just because it was quite simple, but because as someone involved in motor racing for lap timing.and also the size of the hands made it easy to read in the dark. All went fine for years, but since 2017 it has now had to go back for repair four times. I am now questioning why the repairs are not covered for a any period of time under a repair guarantee. I am awaiting a rely on this, because a standard service is £650 and damned if I'll pay that again since the last time it went back was only two years ago when it suddenly started stopping in the night. Things since have got worse since, with the stopwatch would no longer work and when finally the whole damned watch failed. Now this is a watch that seems to have a retail price of around £9,000 theses days (I paid £2,700 at Goldsmiths in 20005).

On a whim I paid £500 for my Seiko Prospex while browsing in Paris and it is waterproof and keeps perfect time. In fact, I have only worn a Seiko for most of my life. I'll post when I get a reply from IWC but damned if I'll buy another from them.

Still wearing the teal sunburst Solstice after nearly three weeks without a change.

Adding to the accuracy debate, it's been +3 seconds each day for the entire time. I hate an inaccurate watch and set it daily on my atomic clock app. It has a Miyota 9039 movement. smile

Very nice.

My mate has the exact same Tudor. Personally i prefer it more when he wears it on the rubber strap. Very sporty

Not noticed the “pip” like indices. Nice design. I like these.

The bracelet clasp is fantastic. Best I’ve seen / got for comfort & adjustability.

Yeah it's a subtle change for this version, they do have very nice attention to detail overall.
