Called in at G-shock West this morning.

Very disappointing choice.

Just ordered my first G-Shock after a few months of looking at this thread!

DW6900MS-1

Love big watches, and love the all Matt stealth look. Will try and get a pic up.

Quiet in here.

Thought I'd brighten the place up with this...

Fine choice!

Did that come from Japan?

I think mine came from America, but I think the only difference is where mine says 'Times are a chaging' at the bottom and yours across the top.

Can I be cheeky and ask what you paid?

Mine came from France. No idea where originally.

Can't remember what I paid exactly. I use snipe software to bid and then just pay for everything I've bought that week in one go, without really looking at what they all went for.

About £120 at rough guess I think.

Hi, I'm new in here so please be gentle wink

I need a new watch for my new job as I don't want to wear my decent ones, and I need something cheap and robust, and am liking the Baby G.

I have narrowed it down to two and just wanted any thoughts please. I know it's all down to personal choice, but I am the most indecisive person in the world!

Straightens tie, checks breath/

Hi, really you answered your own question it's personal preference. If I had to choose it would be the top one as it looks cleaner. If the bottom one had the White effect display it would be a harder choice.

Have you thought about a real 'G'? 5600s aren't that big and they do some nice White ones. smile

Well I'd go for the bottom one.

My preference with G-shocks is that they are digital rather than have hands.

I have plenty of other posher watches with hands for smarter occasions.

What's your job? Do you need to look smart?

If so, the top one. If not, the bottom one.

I'm not keen on the square faced ones!

And yes I am a bird smile

Haha! Not a bad way to go about buying watches!

I paid £92 for mine a couple years back, worth every penny! The yellow is really nice colour!

Those Baby Gs are pretty tough. I've got a pink one and it's seen more action than Gallardoguy's entire collection. biggrin

Edit: I prefer the top one; not keen on digital watches unless they have a lot of functionality eg Riseman's Altimeter. My Baby G has a basic but useful interval timer so I use it in the gym and it goes well with the pink dumbbells I can just about pick up. wink

Definitely the bottom one for me, top one looks a bit fussy.

Been looking at my collection and I am missing a nice bright blue and bright green, had a look about and cant find anything that is not really expensive.

I like the mudman/6900's style and it has to be digital - oh and not small!

Any ideas?

Bottom row. Third in from the left.

Top row. Second in from the right.

From the crazy colour range. Both very vibrant colours in the flesh and can be bought reasonably.

REASON FOR EDIT: I'm a spanner!
