Has arrived and I’m smitten! It’s a more high tech version of the casioak which is always accurate and won’t ever need a new battery for a very long time of ever. Also you can finally set the date format to DD/MM.
Was disappointed at the BT instead of Atomic, but the sync with the phone app works perfectly and being able to adjust all the settings from the app is much easier than using the watch itself.
The yellow colour is fantastic and much much nicer than the pastel yellow from the initial launch a few years ago.
All in for 125 (managed to get the 10% off) I’m very happy, and can see that they are already going for 2x rrp on the ‘bay…
Very very nice and a bargain at that price. Makes my wonder why people are desperate to get a MoonSwatch when this is superior in every way. Definitely getting one when they restock. But I think I’ll keep the date as MMDD - I’m just used to interpreting it that way when looking at a g shock…
How did you get 10% off btw?
Yep the DDMM is already confusing me
However the non-negative LCD is so much more legible than the negative one on my original 2100, it feels like the font is larger too.
Yep, sts all over the moonswatch from a lunar orbit.

Anyone got a G-Lide GBX-100 - what do you think?
I have a GW-M5610 and its great, saw the GBX-100 by chance and it looks nice. I have no need for the Tide function but i think the display is quirky.
Go for it? Yay or nay?
I don't have one, but I keep seeing them and thinking they look rather good. My interest was piqued the other day when I saw in a FB group someone had fitted the GX56 case to the GBX100 module, but they are keeping very tight lipped about whether its a straight 'bolt-on' mod and I can't find any info about it anywhere else.I have a GW-M5610 and its great, saw the GBX-100 by chance and it looks nice. Collected my new GA-B2100 from the post office this morning, first impressions are good, the face has more lustre than the original casioak. Only problem is I have no idea how to connect it to my phone. I've downloaded the g-shock connected app but the model isn't listed, nor on the other Casio apps. Any thoughts? It's not a major issue, I bought the watch more for the solar than anything else, but I'd like to explore the other features at least once!

It’s the Casio Watches app that you need.
Agreed on the face, I noticed earlier that my yellow one has a sunburst dial, looks fantastic and adds great depth to the face.
Thanks for the info, all connected now. The app/Bluetooth is surprisingly more useful than I expected it to be, but no doubt I'll forget all about it and just enjoy the watch for what it is! i take it the GBD-200 was released prior to the GBX-100. What do you think of it?
The GBX is the older model, but has a metal face and possible a softer strap (plus wave/tide stuff). The GBD has a slightly cheaper RRP (£130) but is aimed to be more sporty - in the flesh, it's actually lovely. And exactly what I wanted - something indestructible whilst working in the garden/playing with the kids. The blue is really nice.
For under £60 on offer, it was a bargain. The the screen is incredible!! And the bluetooth stuff useful (it's certainly not smart - exactly what I want). H Samuel may still be knocking the out cheap - check HUKD for the discount code.

Found this in a drawer ...bought 27yrs ago to go diving with, lost a strap/ given up for dead/ when we moved back to the UK c 2yrs later:
..having happened across it in the back of a drawer - new battery, new pins, replacement strap and ta-da! pre- G-Shock goodness, back in use after 25+ yrs: DW-340, ftw:
Ive had this DW-280 for more years than i care to remember. Battery is flat and the strap broken, but easily fixed...having happened across it in the back of a drawer - new battery, new pins, replacement strap and ta-da! pre- G-Shock goodness, back in use after 25+ yrs: DW-340, ftw:

I just got one GBX-100NS-1ER which is the all black version. So even the metal surround has a black finish.I have a GW-M5610 and its great, saw the GBX-100 by chance and it looks nice. I have no need for the Tide function but i think the display is quirky.

I just like the look of it. It’s fairly smart looking, the strap is a bit more dainty than the bigger g-shocks.
I go through phases where I like negative displays. Lately I’ve been wearing this one but it is quite difficult to read as seen here:
Better angle and it’s improved:
New gbx has some kind of different display method which does make it a lot better:

Picked a GBD-200 up last week. Was on offer at H Samuel for 59 with a code.
I really wanted the GBX-100, but the colour I like is holding above 100
Not quite as good a deal but the black one is half price at Jura. Just ordered myself one. £69. I really wanted the GBX-100, but the colour I like is holding above 100

It is exactly the same guts inside the case btw - the [1000] figure on the back is the casio 'mech' reference; so all you need is a CR2016 battery.

I really like this GST-B400 I got at Christmas, although can anybody help with :-
- a supplier of replacement straps, I'd like one in blue or orange but none seem to fit this model.
- an idiot guide to adjusting the time when abroad. It has world time on it, but that is just the digital display (I think) so how do I wind the hands back and forth when in France?
Cheers
