Another new arrival ... eBay bargain at £33.50 delivered, brand new - not sure on the colours yet but I'll see how I get on with it!

Two things, firstly, can folk recommend me eBay sellers, please?

Secondly, can I have first dibs on this, please?

Actually, make that three - that can't be brand new and genuine at that price, surely?
I have a search setup on ebay to pull all newly listed GSHOCK, listed with a BIN and a max price of £70 - I look at it every few days and they just crop up - some get listed as used and have been worn once or twice and the straps are unmarked where the clasp sits theyve had such little use!

this is indeed genuine, no outer box and the tin was beaten up something chronic - to the extent I dont believe its the tin that came with the watch

Some I have bought around this price come fully packed and one was even still sealed in the bag inside the tin. others have come without the tin etc... - Ive only ever bought one that wasnt genuine and it was obvious immediately when recieved and the pics were of a different watch - but the was about £12 if I think on so no great loss (could have claimed it back in fairness)

Its all about buying as soon as they are listed though as they really dont hang around too long <£50 normally!

I do think that some may also be shoplifted (imagine it quite likely at these prices), but no way to tell or not!

Not sure if this is G-Shock pawn or not (it's the 1st G-Shock I've owned), but bought this to wear whilst sailing as I'm a bit nervous to wear my Daytona in case it goes over board in the middle of a sail change... and wanted something that's easy to read in the middle of the night.

First impressions are 1) it's pretty comfortable, 2) it's HUGE (dwarfs the Daytona!), 3) it was bit fiddly to set up (old eyes) & 4) I doubt I'll ever use the compass/tide/temperature functions.

That looks great that does! would love to be able to buy something like that as a "bad" watch!

Have you got a pepsi daytona?

Although I primarily bought it for sailing, it will also get worn for karting, snowboarding and any time I feel a bit uncomfortable wearing something 'expensive' (such as travelling in dodgy countries etc).

The Daytona is a 2016 'ceramic' with a black face ('Pepsi's' are GMT's).

After 6 years the battery has gone on mine, any advice where to go for the best and most reliable service, I'm guessing it will need re-sealing ?

I'd love a pepsi Gulfmaster, but I've never seen one without the reverse display lcd, that i hate. I've seen Gulfmasters with normal lcd display but not with the red/blue bezel.

I just use Timpsons - £20 lifetime guarantee provided on the battery and as long as the rubber gasket isn't damaged when the back is screwed back down it will be fine - they've done 3 of mine without any issues with water ingress since

I just did my own. £2.39 for 2 duracell batteries, so £1.20 per watch.

The white one has the normal LCD display. Tempting.

If you were feeling brave you might be able to open one up and rotate the polarising film on the display 90degrees? Like this... http://forums.watchuseek.com/f43/how-convert-plain...

That's normal to negative, obvs, but the principle is the same.

First digital watch since the databank I had when I was 12!

DW-5600BBN-1ER

So far so good; surprisingly un-bulky, even on my skinny wrists. Nice nylon strap too.

Don't know which to go with between these two.
(Yes, I know the company directors would just have one of each but I don't get that luxury.)

AW-590

or G-100

Thoughts, please.

I have a variation of that 590 and it's very comfortable but the 100 is a classic and still one of the best looking G-Shocks IMO

Done. Just bought a G100.
Really pleased with the size; chunky but doesn't look ridiculous on my small wrist.
