Had heavy rain here overnight and roads are still soaked now so I am bailing out I'm afraid.
Have a good morning everyone and I'll try and make the next meet weather permitting. 👍

What a great mix of vehicles there today! I think pretty much every category was covered. Really amazing to see such diversity at a meet.

I agree, there were some fantastic cars there!

It was out first time there and I took my 3 year old. It was a great relaxed meet and I'll definitely be coming to more.

Great to meet some other AMG owners too!

June! yikes Where's the year going?! Hold on. I've got a wedding in June... :-/

Loved all the vehicles there today. And another Ferret. Brilliant. Especially the T350 - and when you started up...nice one wink

I enjoyed it. Managed to find the time to pop down with my FiL, lovely day and some awesome cars. My favourite was Mr 456's silver Ferrari pictured above - simply stunning cloud9
Good to meet up with some familiar faces and new ones - chap with his girlfriend and the A3, really nice chatting with you when I arrived and more than happy to take you for a spin in the future. Also a massive thankyou to the chap with the ferret armoured car, really loved it and it made me feel like a kid again sitting in that drivers seat smile

Top lurking!!

My first time too (green Jaguar STR), came along with my son who spent most of the time scooting about with me shouting 'not near the cars'.

Good meet, will definitely pop along again.

Good meet again.

Like the variety that attends, 205GTI through to a 12C and so much in between.
Grey Ferrari was a lovely understated thing to look round.

Lovely dry roads for the run home topped a good morning.

I know the feeling. Brought my wife and kids as it was a nice day. Spent about 5 minutes looking at cars and an hour in the playground or looking at the ducks.

See you all in June

First time for me too in the silver Lotus Elise. Really impressed with the cars that came.
Nice scenic route drive home in the dry!
Will come again, but looking like I'll be away for the next one in June!
Cheers

Just seen a video on fb of a BBC Cambs programme - apparently some sort of order is to be served on the Riverside to stop car meets??!!

Was looking forward to the 11th as I picked up my Maserati today.

I've commented on it on the expected FB post that popped up about it:
https://www.facebook.com/bbcradiocambridgeshire/

However, the order is to stop anti social behaviour basically but only between hours of something like 7pm and 9am, so it won't affect this meet or indeed the kind of meet that everyone was complaining about, whcih was the rev-tastic one from a few weeks back.

Some pretty heavyweight machinery on the news item.

Was that a PH meeting?

No. This is the lot who f*ck it up for everyone else. Take a look at the comments on the Facebook video; actually using the fact they raised £5,000 for charity as an excuse for p*ssing people off. I'm really, REALLY trying to avoid saying 'I told you so' but people need to accept that the car park we use is very close to a lot of residents, including a retirement home. As a local resident, I don't want my car/bike to be tarred with the w*nker brush but that's not a consideration for these guys because if there's an imposition, they'll just move on to the next location and f*ck that up, too.

I really don't understand why St Neots Riverside was used for this event. After all the space that's provided at their venue. The organiser was at one of the PH meets a few months ago. Imitation and flattery? I'm biting my tongue.
I was at the event the BBC have coverage of. And some of the comments defending it aren't quite the entire story. It's a shame this appears to have brought some bad attention to what, for 18 months, has been a peaceful, friendly and much loved and welcome regular meet.

Shame on you Sharnbrook.
