Taxi - Luton london

An odd flight for us on NYE into Luton and we need a taxi into london

Any recomendations for a decent service with a nice car that doesnt stink of curry?

Would the bus link to Luton Airport Parkway & train not work? Will probably be quicker and an awful lot cheaper.

Why would the car stink of curry?? Do taxi drivers round there do Indian food deliveries as a side line?

Probably, we use those kinda links all year round, this trip is a more luxury trip tho so just wanted something with simplicity and door to door, nice n quiet, comfortable and no other people around

Train would be a good idea but there's no Thameslink service across London on NYE. Firms like Addison Lee will do pick ups from Luton Airport, just call them for a quote. And brace yourself.

£65 for a normal cab online, happy to pay £100 for something decent...

Plenty of the cab services online show a merc e class on their add but when you ask what they’ll be using it mysteriously isnt this but a toyota prius (yes ive been in one)

UberX would be around £130 i think, £175 or so for UberLux.

I got an Addison Lee vehicle from their office at the airport (they've got loads of cars there) and it was actually cheaper than Uber. Nice clean newish Merc too...
Admittedly journey was only Luton to Welwyn but still saved £'s.
Normally I'm all for Uber but was pleasantly surprised by their price and vehicle.

Thought the uber x was a tad rich tbh, maple executive came in at the 100 i was expecting and will be a minimum of 2016 e class apparently, im happy with that.
