I went to them for a quote and they swiftly had a look round, took down details of the damage and... never contacted me curse

YMMV with Finishline... I had a full respray with them and the car had to go back for snagging FIVE times... lots of careless avoidable mistakes, and it wasn't a cheap job (circa £6k).

I think they perhaps used to be better, but have expanded the operation at the expense of quality.

A real shame as I had high expectations based on their reputation.

Strange, i had my Citroen C4 repaired by them about 8 years ago and they were brilliant. I guess times change.

Shame to hear that about Finishline. I last used them 2 years ago and they did a great job. Chris is stil running the show presumably? He's fussy to the point of OCD. Hard to imagine him letting quality slip.

Yeah Chris was still there, he seemed as itritated as i was about the various issues as some of them were totally avoidable... i don't think he is as hands on as he once was when they were smaller, so stuff was slipping by- at least that was my impression.

It all got sorted in the end to where i was 95% happy with the car, but I got the feeling he was very glad to see the back of it.

Polite, courteous and professional throughout, but not the immaculate finish work wise which i was initially expecting...possibly down to sheer volumes of work going through, or Chris not being as hands on with the work and quality control.

On smaller jobs or a less tricky colour, they may well be fine, also i would say i am more OCD than most when it comes to people working on my car.

So I'm not saying don't use them, just go in with realistic expectations and expect snagging issues on a bigger job... which tbh is the attitude you should have with any bodyshop.

They were also far, far better than the previous bodyshop who totally botched the first respray.
