This bothers me....

After being so happy that Labour wouldn't be selling them to get a few quid for schools/hospitals/"the poor"/gender studies I feel a bit pissed off that on the first working day after the election result this is the first thing off the presses.

I always assumed they'd start near the stern for the maximum takeoff run, but that's presumably straight off the lift and turn to the bow. Is that standard launch or just because he's presumably flying pretty light?
Normal take off run is from the 350ft mark, it appears that today it did the same thing (350ft), very impressive that it can do this with no wind over the deck.Dog Star said:

Too often MoD procurement has been a shambles so it seems reasonable to have a review, not exactly a vote winner nor a priority though.https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/dec/16/do...

Not exactly a new topic though
2015 NAO report into reforming defence acquisition

followed by a 4 year transformation programme at Defence Equipment & Support.
What's Dominic Cummings going to say that the NAO report and transformation report didn't?

He'll have the political clout to actually do something unlike the NAO.2015 NAO report into reforming defence acquisition

It was pretty flippin' loud in Portchester. Made me jump (didn't know it was happening)!
And loud in Port Solent too. The noise made me go and have a quick look out of the window while on the phone although I didn’t see the plane. Also had bloody noisy helicopters most of the morning in and out at Hornsea Island.
Video from aboard QE - interesting change in engine note when the clutch for the forward lift fan engages
