What would you choose to have a flight in, and why?

Sorry to bump the thread but i've been watching alot of ww2 doc's on the yesterday channel and this makes an appearence alot.
probally the slowest plane in this thread but would still love a go!
Uses more fuel than a spit apprently 65litres per hour!
Saw one of these flying at the Shuttleworth collection the other month. Can do everything a helecopter can do except hover.probally the slowest plane in this thread but would still love a go!

Anyway back to original topic. My ideal dream would be a flight in anything Merlin/Griffin engined or B17 or B24 (just because so many flew from the area where I live and never returned), Me262 HE111 or JU87 or a more modern dream flight would probably be in a U2 or Lightning or something that could pass the sound barrier.

Can't think why.......'452 as well, which was still a flyer until relatively recently of course out in SA.
Out of interest, can you remember who took you for the trip?
Any idea whats happened to the jets at Thunder City?

I was on the Hit team for that see off! I chatted with you a few months back when I was showing LloydH and Dave Ellins around Conz and your photog section and getting my leaving print sorted out
Small world! Where did you move onto?On a related note, I recently spent a week onboard the Lancaster photographing for BBMFs 2013 brochure. Absolutely mind-blowing experience.
So many I'd love to fly in (P51 being right up there) but for me it's a relatively simple one that would make me smile the most would be a flight in a T6 Harvard (Texan). My Grandad who now suffers badly from dementia was a instructor in Canada during WW2 teaching pilots in these and was always full of praise for the aircraft, even now it's one of the only things he can talk about with clarity. For that reason alone I'd like to experience what my Grandad so loved.

You can have a flight in one from Goodwood.http://www.goodwood.co.uk/experiences/experiences/...
Biggin Hill run something similar.

XH558 would be top of my list....
But also on it would be the usual suspects including
Lightning (for the height!)
Spitfire (for the nostalgia!)
but would also love to learn to fly an Extra 300, not sure my back is upto that these days though.
I don't fly that often so probably have done as many flying hours in Chipmunks (CCF in the 1980's) as any other aircraft, and that includes commercial flights.
Having said that if my eyesight had been better when I left school (was very long sighted) I'd have been more inclined to join the RAF, rather than staying in civvy street, and then I'd have hopefully flown in many more aircraft.
