Classic steam and motor yachts, pre-WWII, 70' LOA +
Discussion
I have accumulated a few thousand digital images of large (mostly 70 feet long over all) and old (pre Second World War) classic steam and motor yachts along with their histories. If anyone has an interest in this topic, I'd love to share information and pictures. I also have several issues of "Lloyd's Register of Yachts" and "Lloyd's Register of American Yachts" from which I can share specific yacht data.
I'm very interested in expanding and improving the collection to include more British and European yachts. I also have many artist depictions of classic yachts. Another aspect of my interest is in the wartime use of yachts as naval vessels of which I have many pictures as well.
If you have an old vessel in mind and would like to see a picture or information posted, just let me know. I may well have just what you are looking for.
I'll post a few pictures to give everyone a taste of what interests me.

The article implies she's still around and restored.
Steve, the owner, and Hans, the 2 guys that ran Tiger, sold her to someone in St.Kitts who removed the original engines and put new ones in. Other than that. I lost touch with her story.Hans is on facebook if you want to contact him.

You should watch this about the USS Williamsburg, one of the most important vessels in the US maritime history. I have seen her in this condition down in Italy and I'm astounded that with the money being spent out of the USA on large yachts that someone hasn't put this right.
