She's looking fab.
In Cowes a little while back I saw what I think is a Cockwells Duchy 27, smashing looking boat.
Thank you, I think the 27 is great boat as they look perfectly proportioned and being semi displacement have a lovely solid feel at 20+kts - no slamming. In Cowes a little while back I saw what I think is a Cockwells Duchy 27, smashing looking boat.
We do have a 27 in Cowes and a 35 and another 27 in Yarmouth, there are a few more Duchys and custom Motor Launches over in Lymington, Soton etc. Its a busy area for us! I will be back up there in a couple of weeks with one I'm sure.

Looks great - any interior shots?
Thank you. She doesn't have much of an interior at all - in fact its bare. I did fit a good sea toilet in the fwd locker and haven't done anything else apart from an annual lick of paint. The cabin is just where the beach kit and fishing rods live really, a jumble of body boards, wetsuits and bags etc. Tyre Smoke said:
Just read the entire thread. Took me right back to the early 80s and Restronguet Sailing Club.
She's a lovely day boat, I'm insanely jealous!

So now we tool about the Carrick Roads in Penny of Mylor...

Really loved the Cornish Puffin. If it's not too rude of me, what were the running costs per year? Moorings, maintenance, insurance, fuel etc.
No problem, I kept tabs on costs.....Although it looks thorough some of the figures are approximate, should give you an idea though. From memory it was about 2 litres per hour at 4.5kts which seemed to be a happy speed to travel at.
She was a really lovely, simple and easy boat to own that's for sure.
