No, they are based there today, due to display at Southsea this afternoon, return, and depart at 1532. Southsea display apparently looking unlikely now though.

Interesting that they are using Farnborough now as their "southern" base. This is the second time in the past few weeks.

Reds are departing mid afternoon as they are at Newcastle this weekend for the Sunderland airshow. I think its RAF Shawbury families day today so there is an afternoon flypast en route... transit route should be on the link in a previous post.

I know it's not about Farnborough Airport, but two Spitfires overflew Farnborough yesterday afternoon.

Close formation, low (ish) and looked to be heading roughly southwest, passing somewhere between Blackbushe and Farnborough itself.

I was talking to a neighbour out in the street, so lucky to see them, as they'd have been gone by the time I got out of the house if I'd been indoors.

Presumably heading for Goodwood for Revival weekend and the flypasts next week.

Quite possibly. Limited view from where i was stood, due to houses and large trees, and it'd have been rude to speed away from a conversation with my neighbour in order to get a better view. All I managed to see was the two.

Four more spotted today, about 2-ish in the afternoon. The wife excitedly called into the house for me to get outside. They were on roughly the same course/height as the two I saw t'other day.

I can't wait for Tuesday! bounce

Kinky Junior was playing footy yesterday morning (away in Frimley), and we had the Red Arrows fly over in formation, then gave us a 2-3 minute individual display (each flying around in varying sized circles), then eventually all flew off again towards Goodwood. But that's only my assumption.

But still great to see smile

Was around 11am

They arrived at 1103 (held up by other traffic), did a fly past of the runway, then a "break to land"
