I don't think names shouldn't be speculated online until confirmation of next of kin being informed despite media reporting the pilots name...
I agree, its sad all round but isn't the name announced of the pilot as the plane flies in to display? To be honest on the scale of things it just doesnt matter, hopefully by some miracle everyone survives.

It looks like there is a crowd of people just feet away in the bottom right of that picture. I think it will be 'lucky' if its 3 dead.
Yup. I cycled down to the banks of the Adur last year, and could see lots of people up there watching from side of road then, and given the nice weather and being only half an hour or so before the Vulcan was due to display, I bet that area was packed with people. As you say, if it stays a 3 it will be a minor miracle
From the organisers:-
"At about 1.20pm an aircraft hit several cars on the A27 just to the north of Shoreham Airport, where the Shoreham Airshow is taking place. There have been several casualties but we have no further information on these at the moment.
The A27 has been closed in both directions and drivers are asked to avoid the area until further notice.
Further information will be released as soon as possible.
All media enquiries should be directed to Sussex Police.
