I only tend to see them on ADSB, same with Police choppers.
They often seem to fly lower than most heli's (Air Ambulances that is) and often in more rural areas so are less likely to pop up on FR24 and ADSBexchange. Some of them show up consistently like the Kent or London ones where as the Wilts B429 seems to not show up at all or as blocked on FR24.

Most of the police, ambulance and SAR are blocked on FR24. Use ADSBx for them, but be aware many of them are MLAT and at low level so you'll get jaggy track lines.

Something different, the unique sound piqued my interest to see what it was.
Google suggests an oil spill response plane.

Based at Doncaster, in fact there are 2 of them. Often up and about. They were dumping water off the coast of Anglesey the other month.

G-OSRA is actually the last ever B727 to be built.

yes, we had one fly right over the school where I work on Thursday. Sounded like it was about to take the roof off

Do air ambulances not show on here? Flew over me twice the other day and I couldn't find them.

I often see the Dorset/Somerset AA on FR24, and recently I've seen the Wiltshire and the Devon helicopters too. I know when they're about to look for them, though, as they often come in to the Royal Bournemouth hospital right over my house. The Coastguard SAR helicopters mostly aren't identified beyond the helicopter type, and they can't land at the hospital's pad here, so they come in to a local school's playing fields (or so I'm told) and transfer casualties to a waiting road ambulance for the last half mile or so. Lots of transfers from the Channel islands, I think...

Something was up around here a few minutes ago that hasn't shown on FR24. Jet engined, and military sounding. It may have been the Red Arrows leaving Hurn? Not sure, but they were definitely here last night, as I saw them drawing (what I presumed was their Jon Egging memorial heart) in the sky as I drove down the A31 over the New Forest.

Probably the Arrows, they took off westerly, turned south around the Isle of Wight & are displaying at the FoS as I type.

This flew over yesterday

Sat in a queue near the river Mersey a couple of years ago, one of these flew right over my car at about 500ft. Despite having some music on, I absolutely sh*t myself. I didn't hear it coming at all, then...well then I did! It was off to a SAR job.

Presume in their way back from the Weston display. I watched from the church field in uphill.

Somehow -and I know it’s sacrilege to say so - but somehow the display with ‘ only’ seven aircraft seems somewhat …underwhelming?

Anyone else think the same?

Twice seen Team Raven returning from Weston Airshow over the weekend. First instance they were in a very loose formation, but today they were flying quite tight which was impressive to see. In both cases they only had one aircraft showing on flighradar.

Best way to track SAR is on AIS, the operator requested they be blocked despite being told by the end users that they’re visible on other platforms rofl
